Default Is the oil return line kit gonna happen?

I actually need an oil return feed and line and I'm too lazy to make one myself. That and I don't trust myself to something that important.

Damn, now thats pretty damn lazy. Lets see, 18" 10AN line, a -10 to BPT, turbo flange, 2 45 degree hose ends, and one weld one -10 fitting for the oil pan.
Maybe about 30 hour of assembly.
How hard is that?

okay... see the thing is... i don't know what any of those things are. I know what they look like and all but I don't want to take a chance and do it wrong and have to do it again when I can get it right the first time. if this line kit doesnt come through in the following months I will probably read up on it.

Why not just buy all the equipment that he suggested, he is extremely helpful in pointing you in the right direction when it comes to stuff like that? I couldn't wait for him either, but I need it pretty soon so i am going to attempt to put the line together myself.

Any of you that have assembled it once, how hard would you say it is to put together?

I should have a word by this tuesday, but in the mean time this is what I used:

Oil return fittings:
You need
1/2 to a -10 fitting Part #EAR-981610
-10 45deg. swivel fitting(you need two of these)PN# EAR-804610
-10 stainless steel Perfm-O-Flex. (you need about 1ft of this)PN#400100 on http://www.anplumbing.com . Summit racing doesnt just sell 1' of hose.
But I recomend the steel weld fitting I can provide for you.
The part # are for summitracing.com, you can do a part search there. But Summit doesnt sell just 1' of line, so you might need to order it from Anplumbing.com

And if you can't wait, and can't get a steel weld fitting anywhere, pick up another 1/2" or larger to 10AN adapter and saw off the NPT half of the adapter. Wa-la, a steel weld fitting.

Dude if your too lazy to make an oil return line, you probally shouldn't have a turbo. . . just my 2 cents. . .

well, take your pennies somewhere else! i spent a year doing research on everything i needed to know about turboing my car. i've blown my motor a few times and i've learned from my mistakes. i do not want to ruin a motor w/ 6k miles on it because i f*cked up on a braided steel line. now, from what i read... drag's oil return line are cheap quality, and if a $3k turbo kit can't make a good return line, i'm not willing to take the chance nor effort to try to do it myself. getting oil to and from the turbo is a crucial part and i dont wanna mess it up. two blown motors, third is hopefully the charm.

Drag feed line is actually Aeroquip lines and it's not bad at all. I wouldn't need a bling bling line just for show but the return line should be stainless. Return line take exactly Ten minutes to make and not many people can really **** it up, just make sure the line slopes down. I don't know why so many people recommend two -10 45 degree hose end for the return line because in my setup 45 degree would not clear part of my block and pan. I chose straight -10 hose end for the setup. I highly recommend anyone to look carefully at their setup, make sure you select the right bend on the hose end. And save your time on the feed, keep what you have.

Art,
Thanks for posting up the part numbers!
Only thing I'm confused about is in an old post you made on the same subject you said that a 3/8" to -10 adapter is needed but in this post you said we'll need a 1/2" to -10 adapter... from your old post:
-1 3/8" to -10 adapter Part# 981611ERL $5.45
Here's the link to that post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=109160

Which one do we need? 3/8" or 1/2"?

dont make it so hard......home depot compression fitting:a tri way 1/8 npt fitting, a 1/8 npt line looped going from block to tri fitting, to allow slack in the line so it wont snap right off your block due to 4 cylinder vibrations, then get arts kit.

Whoa! Calm down kids.

Sushibug--I didn't mean the comment as a flame. They way you made it sound is that your just lazy. A FI car needs lots of attention and TLC. When someone says they are "too lazy" to make an oil return line it makes me wonder, how long is their turbo going to last? Now I can understand you haste in wanting a quality on, after two motors that is. I would be skeptical too.
Anyhow good luck.

HXman-- Hell yea Arts a good guy. I know him personally, he's only 4 hrs up the road from me . If I was just starting a turbo project I would buy Arts lines too. Of course I wold help Art out with cash. . .then we can go get some Pho.

Yes, in that post I posted the wrong part # and size. I think later in that post towards the bottom I caught my mistake. But its a 1/2" to -10 fitting.. Sorry if I confused anything.
