Default Oil return/feed and oil pressure question

when i bought my turbo it came with the ss lines with fittings on them. i still need to buy the return fitting for the pan. my question is how should i go about attaching the oil feed, oil pressure sensor(autometer), and the factory oil pressure sensor? should i use 2 Ts? ive also read that its good to not just put the T right into the block but put some sort of adapter in first because something tends to break(or something like that, im not sure).

if someone could just let me know what sizes and quantity of what i need that would be great. what Ts,fittings, etc. a link with part numbers would be fantastic too. i dont know the size of the fittings on the ss lines though(they are the right ones that fit onto the fittings on the turbo). thanks.

You could use two tee's coupled together, or a cross. You should run a line from the block to your firewall. The stuff all goes on your firewall, maybe with a bracket or something to hold it.

So you got from your block, BSPT to NPT adapter, NPT to AN adapter, AN fitting/line to firewall, AN to NPT adapter for the tees on the bracket, the NPT Tees, NPT to bSPT adapter for the OEM sender, Autometer sender on the second Tee with no adapter needed, NPT to AN adapter/line oil feed, AN oil feed line to turbo. That should be it. All the feed stuff should be 1/8" fittings with AN-3 or -4 lines.

why run it to the firewall? why not just have the Ts off the black after the adapter? and where is a good place to get all that stuff, local and net?

thats exactly what i did and people were telling me that it was not needed (not here on h-t) heres a sketch
I didnt draw all the fittings but the only difference from the regular oil feed set up is the copper loop which autozone sells as a kit with all the fittings to make it work (made by sunpro, in the gauges section)
The loop absorbs all the shock so the brass fittings wont break, especially if you have two T's. You will still need the BSPT to NPT adapter for the block

oh yeah and as a bonus the 1/8" line seems to reduce the oil pressure to the turbo.

I'll post pictures later tonight why not to. I posted about a month ago with my hackjob cross...and I was pretty confident that it would last the summer..well the other day it let loose. People warned me, and I know it was a horrible design...I just thought it would make it 2 months, didn't want to spend the additional money for the nice setup till this winter. It sheared off at the nipple. I'll find out tonight if my motor survived no oil pressure for about 20 seconds.

autozone is an auto parts store, i doubt they sell all the fittings you need, try a plumbing store or just buy a kit from viren (b18bturbo on here), it comes with everything except that secont tee which you can buy for $1.50 at home depot, and the copper line if you want it.

TurboedGSR: Is this the Sunpro copper line you used? http://www.sherco-auto.com/gauges.htm Part 1-10777. In addition to that Oil Pressure kit, you just need 1/8"BSPT to NPT fittings and a T-fitting? Is this correct? Thanks!

anfittings.com...
mcmastercarr.com...
Hardware stores like home depot should have some of that stuff.
Some guys on HT should be able sell you a complete kit if you want to save yourself the trouble of searching.

an-4 is good for feed, I've heard an-9 for drain? someone correct me if I'm wrong and I've had nothing but trouble depending on home depot for fittings. They never have any thing I need, Grainger (www.grainger.com ) hasn't failed me yet.
