oil prob in LSturbo hatch
I planned on putting a used one to see if it was the prob but i Opted and ended up putting a new one back in the motor. That was changed and everything has been checked. Now the prob is about 3 weeks ago i found out my cylinder head wasn't getting any oil. I thought it was the oil pump and decided to change it. DID. New gaskets and all. The pump i took out only had 1700 miles on it. Now sitting on the side. I started the ride and the head still isnt getting any oil. Anyone know the prob. I ordered a new oil control jet (ORIFICE) that goes between the head and the block, could that be the prob. ALready have new gaskets from honda. Just want to be sure its that before i do any unessesarry wrenching..
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: oil prob in LSturbo hatch (PreIudeSI)
I posted about oil not getting to my CYL> head a week or so ago, Just wondering if an oil jet could be the prob (ORIFICE) Motor had new oil pump, just put another one to see if it was the problem. Still have the same problem with new oil pump. THe motor (B18A1) is built with all new bearings, seals, gaskets, all new parts, rods, pistons, etc.... Wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and what was there solution.

Pull the pan and check the pickup.
Also is the head gasket on correctly?

Re: oil prob in LSturbo hatch (B20TURB0)
I know the cyl> head isnt getting oil because, when i drove it last there was a squeeling noise coming from the head. SO i let it cool down and then took the valve cover off, noticed the #2rocker arm frictioning against the cam lobe which put a groove in it. The head was bone dry, no oil to be seen. OIL level was perfect, oil pressure guage was reading 0 psi, Mechanical guage. I checked all lines that had to do with the oil, all good, oil return line good, oil feed line good. SO i tried crank it over without no plugs and wires and disconnected the distributor to see if oil was getting in the head,no signs. The head gasket is on good. SO i today i am gonna try putting a new ORIFICE (oil control jet) in there and put the new gaskets on. hopefully it works.
Compression test read perfect across the board, new bearings, seals gaskets etc. No clue but assumptions so far.
Thanks for the replies.

YES sir, everything always gets replaced when taken off. Always taught to never do a half assed job, consequences later down the line.
new O ring seal for oil pump
new oil pickup gasket
new head gasket
new oil pump
new oil pan gasket
new oil control jet
new intake manifold gasket
should do the trick, if not. DOnt know WTF gonna do, take the motor out and say fugg it and sell the car and work on the TEG.
