Default oil pressure sender snaped

i tried to take it off to make a oil feed when taking it off it snaped. were do the wires run the the harness on the back of the block??
can i get another one from the dealership???
man this really sucks

is that saying iam goin to f@#$ something up without it????
i was thinking about just buyin one can i just snip the wires and wire it in with no problems????? pls help this and my oil pan is the onlything left for my car to start after 1 yr

you are better off getting a aftermarket Oil pressure gauge. that is just for the warning light on the dash letting you know when you got low oil pressure. 99% of the time when that light comes on your [freak]ed anyway

I like having it as a quick visual verification that the engine is building enough pressure on start up, as well as to serve as a warning light to notify me of any problems. Even though the damage has already happened, the engine's not going to explode in every case and catching an early symptom can sometimes keep minor damage from becomoing major damage.

It's really a peace of mind thing for me.

so can i get another one from the honda dealership and cut the old ones wires and connect the new on no problem???

i agree the light comes n at 3-4 psi just use a gauge

The sender is $8.20 retail from the dealer.Or just get a used one off a friend.

i think thats what ill do. i cant belive it just snapped. o well, i gotta go to the dealer to get valve cover bolts ne way b/c i snaped i bolt off in my head. hah iam not very lucky.
