i have the same problem. I wouldnt shorten it because it would be a huge pain in the *** to get fitting on there once you cut it, if its even possible at all.

just wind up the extra and hide it, or run it around the tranny side to take up more length.

The difficulty, or rather impossibility, of shortening the line depends on whether it uses reusable AN hose-ends or if the hose-end is swaged onto the line.

I don't know much about the swaged type of hose-end other than you probably need, what I think is expensive, tooling to get another end onto the hose. It was an expensive piece that I saw at the Goodridge warehouse, so I'm guessing it's the same huge capital regardless of where you get it from. Maybe Stan will school us on this shizzle.

If it's a reusable AN fitting, then it's not impossible, but it could be a mild pain in the ***.
