i have no clue when it comes to oil. does it really matter what weight it is?
what would be the difference in the 5w30 compared to the 10w40?

You wanna use a higher weight oil 10w as to 5w due to the fact the turbo itself will be breaking down the motor oil faster because of heat.
Its just a regular thing people do when they go from n/a to turbo. Some people in the hotter climates like AZ in the summer use 15w.
