Oil feed line leaks after switching to synthetic?
I ran two cycles of regular oil through the motor after it was built to break it in. I switched it over to synthetic this weekend and now the oil feed line is leaking around the seal that connects it to the turbo. In order to tighten it it;s going to be a real PITA as it's under the mani.
Anyways, I was just wondering how common it was to for synthetic to find areas to leak from that regular oil won't.

I've heard of other people stating that synthetic oils "find" leaks. The bottom line is that a leak has to exist before it can be "found". My advice is make sure the leak is fixed, no matter how difficult, or inconvenient that may be.

I would have to agree, becuase it will end up being more than a hassle than it's worth in the long run if it is not fixed.

the reason it started to leak was cus the synthetic oil is thinner then non synthetic oil, but i would fix the leak asap , cus you would not want to start an engine fire.

Yeah...I decided that I didn't want to be telling the story of how I lit my 2 year project up because I wanted to drive it to work. So until I fix it, it's parked.
I guess I need to remove the header wrap from my downpipe now too considering it's soaked with oil!
