Default oil feed line angle- Full Race Products

Take a look.

Full Race's "hot rod" manifold/traction bar in a EF with a gtk850.

I'm having mixed opinions with the oil feed/drain angle. It HAS to go over the traction bar or oil will puddle in the line.

Please share your thoughts.

I cant even fit the turbo I want due to traction bar clearance.

I think you need to get the traction bar modified, like notched or a bend in it and reinforced some how. I'm fairly certain that a turbo should not be more than 15 degrees from vertical.

proper oil control for expensive turbo > traction bar

to late for a top mount eh.

edit: you could try a low profile 45 degree fitting or a 60 degree hose end, it should net you a bit more space, but if there is any movement in your engine mounts, there could potentially be contact between oil drain and traction bar

how close is the crank damper to that traction rod thing?

the car has solid mounts, so movement will be minimal.

the traction bar to crank pulley is about .5"

Anyone think a suction pump, much like the STS kits?

That's because you put a HR manifold on a non-HR car. It wasn't designed to be used with a traction bar....

Agreed.

You said you can't fit the turbo you want, but the issue you have would remain the same basically regardless of the turbo used. Putting a pump on it wouldn't really solve the clearance/angle issue. Turning center verticle looks as though it would take a 90 degree fitting to make a straight shot to the drain fitting in the pan, so you really wouldn't have much option than to either swap manifolds or do a different type of traction bar setup. I wouldn't notch that bar.
