Oil in the exhaust side on first start up
Hey guys,
just got a question, started my car yesterday after putting the full build together. After leaving it idle for a while white smoke started coming out of the exhaust, it didn't smell bad though. We shut off the engine regardless and noticed a small oil leak. When we found where it was, it was from the "brand new turbo" the exhaust side.
Noticed that the fitting that was supplied for the turbo oil feed was not an oil feed restrictor. I'm in the process of changing it now, but could it have been something else that caused this?
The oil line is from the back of the block on a t fitting and the turbo is a gt35r

Re: (thatblkguy)
It's the AFI braided Stainless Teflon oil line (I just tried calling them to get the size, but no answer)
What do you mean by a real gt35?
And why shouldn't I be using a restrictor?
(sorry for my ignorance)

sorry I dont know what I was thinking when I said that about restrictor. from what ive been told the gt35 should have a built in restrictor .
I was asking if it was a real gt35 and not one of those fake gt35's that they claim are BB turbos

If your turbo is a ball bearing then you need to be running a restrictor else you will blow the seals on it. Ball bearing turbos don't like high oil pressure contrary to the journal bearings ones.
