What are you talking about a steering pump for?
Sounds like a simple leak to me. What type of hose are fittings are you using?

Steering pump??
Are you saying your using a pressure hose from a power steering pump as the drain hose? Is the hose the right size? Is oil leaking from the ends or is coming through the hose itself?
