oil drain fitting really close to my downpipe,will it melt?

Default oil drain fitting really close to my downpipe,will it melt?

just wondering before i start running the car

If its rubber, not a good idea, try using a steel braided line...

My rubber drain line was about 1/2-3/4" from my dp, and it never melted. You might want to put some fire sleeve over it, though. My new drain line is made from EARL's Perform-o-flex and Swivel Seal fittings.

I use Perform-o-Flex and Ano-Tuff fittings for my drain lines. But extreame heat will still affect the line, you still want to eliminate any direct contact between the drain line and the downpipe.
