Default oil catch tank (filter/no filter)

im in need of an oil catch tank to relieve crank case pressure and i was wondering if there is any difference between the ones with a breather filter on top and the ones with out a breather filter or do they both do the same job

You need a breather filter, unless you are using vacuum from the intake manifold before the turbo. Otherwise, you will not vent the crankcase. I set up my crankcase and valve cover to go to a catch can with filter and it works great.
