Default oil catch can, is it really necessary?

alright so my big question is would an oil catch can/breather can really be necessary? yes i plan on running boost 8-12 psi at most for now until i have the funds to build the internals. and before anyone tries to dog on me yes its stock internals but everything is checking out fine perfect compression on all 4 cylinders. no leaks no burns just a good clean motor. anywho would i need a can or not? and if so how and where do i install it? seen a million different opinions none really make sense. detailed pictures would be greatly appreciated!!!
not sure if any of this will matter but i will post it anyways---

current setup:
a/r 50, 57 trim turbo
340lph fuel pump
1000cc injectors (soon to come waiting on funds)
msd rotor/cap/ external coil
all extras removed (ac, ps, cruise, ext.)
B18a1 non vtec
stage 3 six puck racing clutch

YES!
the crankcase needs to breathe.

You should take out ur stock pcv and vent it to air if u are already boosting ... The less ur motor can breath the more ur seals are getting push out of the block like the oil pan a gasket.... Also ur return line may not have enough flow because of all the pressure pushing the oil back causing the turbo to smoke ... The best way is to have a massive catch cAn ventilation or add a line to the intake of the turbo so there is vacuum pulling the gases out of the block

That pcv that is going to the manifold should be to air or inlet of the turbo via catch ... Idk if u know how they work but it's simple u don't need a fancy one if ur gonna run it to a vacuum source but if going to air it needs to big big to not restrict flow

If you don't relieve the pressure in the crankcase you damage seals and also not allowing good oil drain back from the head or the turbo drain line. Stock PCV system once the manifold is pressurized isn't allowing any ventilation. It's alos high inadequate for a boosted application for crankcase ventilation.

my only thoughts are if i do hook the thing up to the intake just before turbo is would it pull tooo much vacuum and end up pulling too much oil out? i understand reducing pressure but if reducing pressure means pulling oil out then you may as well starve the rings and fry em either way...

The vacuum won't be that strong because the air coming out of the block will offset that pressure .... Either way oil will be shot out with or without the vacuum source ... A drain back or regular checks for the catch can level should be taken ... Turbo car means lots of precaution and checkin everything every time u drive it
