OHIO: Good Dyno Tuners

Re: OHIO: Good Dyno Tuners (Nisif)
If your willing to drive or have the car towed you could try Race Line in cinnci. Thats were I plan on taking my car once the fine parts come in. I should be able to get down there no later then the middle to the end of march.
I Columbus I really would suggest any one. To many horror stories floting around. I wanted a reputable tunning facility who was trained with the type of system I'm using ( AEM EMS ) and Race Line is factory trained. Give them a call: 513-870-0999. I talked to Rick when I called about 6 weeks ago. Very nice guy and willing to answer your questions. Hope this helps.

I'm in the nasty Nati.
edit: in all fairness, Rick@Raceline will do a damn good job too. He has a lot more experience with the AEM EMS than I do - most of my experience is Uberdata / Crome / Hondata. I'll end up using his mustang dyno if you want me to tune your car.

I've heard good things about Blundar's tunes. I'm hoping to have him do mine when it's all in. There's a couple of places in Dayton, but I would contact Blundar first.

Re: OHIO: Good Dyno Tuners (Rhythm)
Where at in Dayton, I live about 20 min north of Dayton, and the only place I know of is Colleti's, but when I went there with my friend to get his gsr tuned, they didn't even attempt to adjust the cam gears or anything, and it took them an hour to figure out the a/f ratio was off because vtec was set too low. So, I figured there's probally a better tuner in the area...just my thought tho

my website is http://www.pgmfi.org
My services can be booked through Zerolift Autolab, http://www.zerolift.com
My rates can be viewed at http://www.pgmfi.org/~blundar/tuning.html
Hope that helps! Corey at slow motion will do a good job too. If you already have hondata, he's a great guy to go to. If you don't already have hondata, I will probably be able to offer a cheaper overall package using Uberdata or Crome. You have a lot of good suggestions in this thread, good luck whichever you choose.
peace
-Dave

Tunning its not as easy as everyone thinks it is
they just think u can go to any shop and have the car tuned
most of the cars that come to colletti have certain stuff that was 1/2 way done and arent ready to be tuned
Steps on having a good tune:
the engine must be running without any codes
there should not be any mechanical problems
the nesesary parts for complete tunning shall be present
there shall be no parts 1/2 way done that make the tune not to be worthed
from there:
u start getting the engine into a safe and consistent AFR
from a good AFR then u start with the engine ignition timing
once u have found the MBTT(Maximum Brake Torque Timing)
then u go into tweaking anything else, as cam gears, fuel pressure, VTEC activation, etc etc etc
people say colletti dont do good stuff, but they fail to mention the Supra making 675rwhp+ on 20 psi, the vortech 350Z that puts close to 380whp, the lsvtec integra putting close to 380whp @ 15psi, and many others...
what they dont say is what the cars that come in have... wastegate dumps right on the intercooler, chargepipes that are crush bend @ 1.5", downpipes that are 2" crush bent to a stock cat and then a 2.00 exhaust, and cars with badvacum routing, to bigger injectors on FMU, wastegate backwards, etc etc
bottomline, a car ready to be tuned, will get good gains

I would highly recomend DynoTech motorsports in Eastlake, Ohio. It's just east of Cleveland and would be well worth the ride.

We have a shop in Columbus doing alot of Hondata and AEM tuning. PM me if you like. I think you will be real happy with the tune overall. We use a Eddy Brake dyno so can can get all area's of the map very well...
Here's a recent car I tuned...
520whp 412tq
Right Click Save As 18.1mb around 5min long..........
Thanks for the Kind words Dave. You will be happy getting tuned with him as well... Whichever you decide.

USDM 4G VTEC...you just gained props in my books!!! I reccently started working part time at Colletti (tuning), but I wasn't going to say anything about Nisif's claims (not the right place). That Supra was so messed up it needed to be in a junk yard haha. As for the ls/vtec...is that me??? I don't know of any other ls/vtec's that we've done....and that one sounds strikingly similiar to me. If so, that's sweet that I'm "known" haha. But anyways thanks for the backup....I have only had two cars ready for tuning (both were stock). Almost everyone (including my own) was electrically screwed up and some mechanical problems too. Tuning takes time. Thanks man

Corey, if you could email me or PM me I'd appreciate it. I emailed a couple of you guys from slowmotion, and some that I found linked to slowmotion online- and got no replies. It is in reguards to a car you guys built that I need some info on.
