Default ODB2 turbo cars, CAT help

Hi guys

Recently changed my exhaust on my ITR and the second sensor that sits in the stock Cat was removed. After this removal (changed to an aftermarket unit), the cat light came up on the dash.

I believe the lgith comes up because the new exhaust does not have a port for the second sensor to plug into. IE I no longer run the secondary sensor.

Just posting to get a feel for what people have done to overcome this problem.

Also just as a matter of opinion, does anyone know what volts are sent to the sensor and what returns to the ECU when the sensor is detecting a proper AF? Im thinking of simply buying a plgu that fits into the stock Honda plug, and running some wire and putting in a few resistors to get the right return voltage to the ecu.

Thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

just buy an o2 simulator.... also what are you running for fuel management? generally only a stock (like 100% stock) will throw a cel

well, you could pull the cluster out and remove the bulb... but last time i checked they only had a check engine light, not an actual "cat" light. are you na or turbo? what are you using for fuel management?

Why not just buy a good high-flow cat with a mid-bed O2 bung for your back O2 sensor. I got one from Carsound for about $70 and it worked great with my OBD2, plus the car made a bunch of power.

Werd. Carsound Magnaflow 94000 series cat. Come in up to 3" and you can get them with the RO2S bung already installed. I have no CEL and pass emmissions easily.

ah, thanks for the help gents, i already have a cat and dont want to buy another, was just thinking of a way to "fool" the light, but giving the supplied resistance to the wires.

sounds like ill just have to drill into the exhaust and plug in a new sensor. thanks for the help
