OBX ramhorn manifold?
I've heard mixed reviews about OBX. Some say they sucked, but are better now, some say they still sucked, just wanted to know what the deal is with these guys. I have the chance to buy one of thier ramhorn manis and downpipes at a pretty good price and just wanted to know if they were ok.

Why is it that when OBX makes a log mani or mini-ram everyone says they are a piece of ****, but when they make a ramhorn or topmount everyone wants to try it. It's the same damn shitty product, just a different shape.

Aight, here's the break-down.
They use shitty, thin metal, and their welds are proven to not always penetrate as well as they should. Sometimes you get lucky and it lasts a while, sometimes you run over the wastegate while driving on the freeway after it breaks the **** off.
Do you really want to be scared to drive your car all the time because you have a ticking time bomb under the hood?

Re: OBX ramhorn manifold? (doood)
see these manis make over 500 whp consistantly on toyota motors, the quality is not great the welds are questionable but they hold up good just saw one load tuned a 8500rpm in 5th gear glowing red didnt crack...most people that say they suck have no experience with them...i suggest u do research on them in a place other than ht cause a lot of people jump on the bandwagon hear that have never used them

Re: OBX ramhorn manifold? (IT'S ME DAVID)
there is plenty of pictures around of these manifolds cracked as well... hell there was just one posted last week that the entire wastegate elbow broke off after only a short period of use. it is one of many pictures like this.
some have had sucess with them for a while but it seems to be a shot in the dark mostly, personally I dont want to be driving and worry about when my manifold is going to crack.
they are junk, my 2 cents... they are made by herds of blind communist chinese goats, the quality reflects it.
