Re: OBX oil pan who sells them (JDMCRX)
I would advise to just buy a moroso oil pan or any other brand. I bought one of those ebay OBX oil pans for my b series and the thing always leaked around where the oil pan gasket was. It turns out that the flange was warped. And where the gasket sits on the pan, there are no holes for the gasket to sit in. It is a nice piece and all of the welds look good but just be aware of what you are buying. My advise is to pay a little more money and buy a Moroso.

Here is a my problem. D16Y8 oil pan flange and D16Z6 oil pan flanges are different. The oil pan holes are in different positions. And also the oil pump side of the pan its about 1/4" wider. So either way MOROSO or OBX pan fits.
So what im going to do it order up a OBX pan cut off the lower drivers side and tig weld it to a Y8 Alum oil pan. Which has a Oring style gasket.
Building one from scrath would be nice but no provisions for a trap door system. And i only get the luxury of workin on my car every saturday. So cut the OBX one off and tigg weld it to the OEM pan

Oh I forget to tell you that the stock pick up didnt work on my pan. I had to cut the trap door out of the pan.
