Default OBD0 / Turboedit / ECU Control update for the DIY crowd

I know no one on honda-tech is lame enough to not only be using DIY management, but also to not be using Uberdata so I'm not sure if anyone will really give two *****. Bandwidth isn't free (as Dustin reminds me ) but any TE users will probably benefit from this update, making this announcement bandwidth well spent. Nothing to severe, just trying to work towards a 100% working datalogging / map trace solution, and also code for disabling the O2 sensor while tuning (and in boost) has been tested+added.

Enjoy!

I got sick of all the lurkers so I make ppl register to view threads... Gives me a much better idea of how many people actually use stuff from PGMFI.

Why would you want to disable the o2 sensor in boost?

Also, I'm retarded, so bear with me...does this mean we can run 3 bar map sensors now?

You dont want the O2 sensor trying to bring your AFRs to 14.7 in boost but you do want it trying to stay close to stoich or slightly leaner for good partial throttle driving and fuel efficiency.

yea, you want to be able to tune the transistion so you aren't at part throttle going up a hill and boosting 5 lbs, but are still in closed loop. SO it is nice to have it switch with load instead of TPS.

no, the maps have been configured to read a 3 bar sensor, totally independent of the 2 disable

there are several cars running around on the 2.5 bar MAP sensor, and 3bar / 2bar support is around for anyone who cares to use it. Post up on PGMFI and let us know so we can help you out if you decide to use non-honda MAP sensors.

I always wondered what my a/f is when I boost in partial throttle (I'll be finding out soon with my wideband)...should it be as rich as WOT? When does the ecu go into closed loop, 80%-WOT or something?

whoops, didn't mean to word the question as one. Meant it as two totally separate ones

I'm running TE and might turn the boost up a little past the stock map's limit. Is it worth switching to a 2.5 bar or should I just richen up/retard the last tables of the map some?

Are those 2.5 bars working well with TE so far? What cars do they come off of?

You order them from Digikey...check out the 2.5 Bar BIN file thread in the OBD0 section of PGMFI
