obd0 b16a boost build Questions & Help
Hi Honda tech this is going to be my first engine build and I am wanting to do it right the first time and not be driving around a ticking time bomb.
Its going to be a weekend warrior and a Sunday drive type car and if needed every day driver. To be safe to run from low boost 11psi to high boost of 24psi
I'm shooting for a 300 too 550 hp range running the car on E85
I have some questions of what has worked for you guys the best on builds parts wise.
im starting off with a b16a obd0 engine 160 base model
plans are

bored .020 Twenty thousands of an inch for good clean start
decked
hot tanked
Micro polished Crank
Having the pistons Coated by http://www.swaintech.com/
and if its a good idea to have the bearings coated also
CP Pistons and Eagle H Beam Rods

walbro 255 fuel pump
precision 880cc low impedance injectors
obd1 AEM Engine Management
Things i need info on
what year, make, and model to get parts numbers from for; like year vehicle Acura or Honda delsol
water pump
oil pump
timing belt
head gasket
and bearings
or provide me with a part number. I thank you guys for your help
just wanna make sure i get everything right before I order it.
Also What do you guys think about the b16 oil squirter's? keep them or buy the block offs?

keep the squirters if you plan on streeting it. Dont worry about how much boost you are running just make sure you build it right and go with what you got. from what it looks like you will be able to reach your goals with your setup. I would highly recomend that you convert the ecu to obd1 to be able to use better engine management systems such as s300

And if you plan on running e85 you have to make sure that you have at least double the amount of fuel capacity for the hp goal you are looking at. For example, if you are looking to make 500whp you are going to want to make sure that your fuel system is capable of 1000whp. In most cases a sumped setup would be best for what you are looking to do.

what kind of bearings are you guys running acl or oem?
what kinda oil pump?
come on Honda tech please help me out 60 views and no one has answered anything
i know you guys have built engines help me out so i can order this stuff and order it once i don't wanna buy a b16 oil pump if i should have got a gsr or type r oil pump instead if it works better so please help me out

Here's the numbers(all rated at 6,000rpm)
