OBD-II to OBD-1

ok i know alot of people might not wanna answer this but, im askin a serious question. I have an automatic Teg and i want to go hondata, but if i buy an OBD-II to OBD-I harness will there be a slot for the automatic harness?

I kno alot of people might turn away from the question, But im just as serious builder as anyone else on this board. TIA https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif

Re: OBD-II to OBD-1 (Bspec18)

why man? that auto wont hold up to any seriosus power, is giong to eat half of the power you throw at it, and the gear ratios suck.

If i were you, id be looking into a manual conversion before hondata.

with all respect, have u ever riden in turbo auto LS ? its just as fast as stick (because of the turbo) and pulls just as hard, im not saying its better in anyway. but in and street light or fwy battle i've never had a problem with the shifting. only problem i have is traction at a track and im not blaming the whole problem on the tranny. im sure i'd have more potential with a manual, but sometimes u have to work with what you got, and im sure some users can respect that...

Re: (Bspec18)

I'm curious, what kind of times are u running at the tracks? With all those upgrades how much hp are u running? If you want to find a way to get some more HP, you might want to try an obd1 manual ecu. The stick ecu might allow you to stay closer to redline in each gear instead of an automatic ecu. Let me know your times and HP.

you cant run an auto tranny with a manual ecu. it just wont work.

yes it will... it has been done. What I have heard is that the d4 will flash.

So manual tranny ECU's come programed with the shift maps for automatic trannys too?

Re: (VTC_CiViC)

shift map is shift map. That is why I believe if you use a stick shift ecu then the shift pts would be better. Automatic ecu are program to shift early so by switching to a manual ecu, this might prevent the early shifting.

This one is good. What controls the shift solenoids if the pinouts to the ecu have no wires comming from the auto trans? No it will not work.

Email me if you are interested in an Auto-Auto OBD2-OBd1 conversion. I will make you one if you really want to stay Auto.
