Re: Nut4vette's EM1 Turbo B18C5 Progress Build
Or the back door style, I know sheepey makes great quality parts and the price is really good but what about dimensions? I know they are made for Honda’s but am I gonna have room and not have to hack my front bumper to pieces?

Re: Nut4vette's EM1 Turbo B18C5 Progress Build
So yeah, expect it to take a lot of room. Remember, your purpose was top mount / drag race , "big nuts" hardcore GTX3582R, right? Whelp, that's the Sheepey way.. His motto is "to hell with convenience or good fitment. You want super-baller power to show off to the world!"
In all seriousness, with a PTE5858JB turbo, you wouldn't need this large of an intercooler for the characteristics you want out of your turbo anyway.
Skip all the backdoor stuff and get a Garrett,ETS, or even Treadstone universal and go on with the project.

Don’t forget to degree your cams. The Pro1’s might have had interference without degree work but I doubt the tuner cams have any issues, but to get best performance you should degree the cams before running the motor. Build is looking great

Meh. For the Tuner1s, it's as drop-in as GSR or Type R. I've owned a few sets. I understand the caution, but really, Tuner 1s are legos. That's why they are so popular. There's no advantage to doing so, like say, with a Pro1.

The specifications are all over online to see.
Skunk2 Stage 1 Int-252 dur. / 11.5mm lift Exh-249 dur. / 10.8mm lift Valve Springs to be used: Stock B16A/GSR if using stock 8200 re-limit. Integra Type-R if using rev limit over 8200rpms. Skunk2 Valve Springs can also be used. Description: These are very underrated cams. They do cost around $100-$200 more than the Type-R cams but they also offer much more duration and will give more power than the Type-R cams. Similar power range of Type-R cams but stronger throughout the power band. This is a great set of cams for a budget minded B16A owner. These cams have stock idle characteristics.

Random but still a lot of fun, 2019 mclaren 720s
Not a lot of room left for a/c condenser
Buddyclubs won’t clear calipers, going to be buying gram light 57dr 15x8 +28 soon
Wilwood big brake kit
Way bigger than oem

Re: Nut4vette's EM1 Turbo B18C5 Progress Build
so I am running a speed factory ramhorn a/c compatible manifold with a pte5858 and a mishimoto radiator and slim fan/ shroud, but I am already running into fitment issues without even having the fan on, I bought the radiator setup when my original car was still n/a, I know I need to clock the cold housing back a little more but I need to find a little more room, was considering drilling off the original rad mount tabs on the bottom of support then getting rad relocation brackets so I can drop the rad a little and slide it to the passenger side more, what ya think?

Re: Nut4vette's EM1 Turbo B18C5 Progress Build
So I’m making progress but things have gotten in the way in the past year but I feel more focused now than ever, still have several things to buy to have the car street ready, a lot of it being fab work, but I don’t have a tig anymore, I was gonna have my Honda guy do it all for me but doesn’t seem willing to help anymore so I’ve had to buy stuff and modify it for my application, anyway, I still need a downpipe and wastegate dump, injectors, full jbtuned e85 kit, Omni map sensor, boost control solenoid, flex fuel sensor, egt gauge, oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge, roll cage, turbo oil feed and return lines, insane 500hp axles, and a new valve cover (my powder coater ruined mine) battery box

Re: Nut4vette's EM1 Turbo B18C5 Progress Build
Trying to stay patient and build the car so I don’t have to redo things later on, I also have a 18 month old daughter so time is something I don’t have a lot of so I’m just stock piling parts at the moment, and probably gonna be building a house next year so getting the car done will be a bit of a juggling act but will be well worth it in the end

The Vibrant 12810 is a nice IC for the price. Does a fantastic job keeping those IATs down. Ambient temp is the highest I have seen to date! Why would it be temporary?
