Default now that im turbo, i notice my oil becomes very thin and smells of gas after about 1000 miles

hey everyone, im running a jdm gsr motor in my DA with thicker cometic head gasket, moroso oil pan, skunk 2 valve train, skunk 2 intake manifold. for turbo im running a customized greddy 18g kit wiht custom fmic piping and a nice big jrc intercooler, turbo xs blow off valve. using crome pro on a p28 ecu along with 550cc injectors and i have a turbo xs man. boost controller. ive never boosted over 6.5 psi, i am runnin 5.5 now cuase its my daily driver, motor is quite healthy with about 80k miles on it. everything inside the block looked nice and clean when took my head off. ok now that the setup is done, i noticed that after i do an oil change which is about every 2000 miles, that my oil tends to get thin almost as though someone added water to it. this becomes noticable after about 1000miles of use after oil change. its not milky or nothing and theres no leaks of anykind between my coolant and oil. i've also noticed that my oil smells like gas. my air fuel ratio is pretty rich im runnin low 11's for the air fuel ratio. everything is running good and so on, my motor never overheats and everythings good mechanically, i just want to know why this is happening, i add lucas oil treatment to my oil during every oil change. think its maybe the turbo breaking the oil down when it gets real hott?. should i switch to slightly thicker oil or possibly try synthetic ?cause im using castrol gtx 10w-30 drive hard now. let me know what u guys think, thanks alot. oh by the way, my oil still lubricates and all it just isnt as oily thicky feeling as it should be.

have you done a compression test on the motor? fuel in the oil usually means leaky rings or broken ring lands. your "quite healthy" motor may not be as healthy as you think.

time to go back into crome and play with your fueling before you mess up your bearings.

thanks for the help guys, i also think that its a cuase of running too rich, luckily i change my oil very often before the oil becomes too light. i'll be getting it retuned in a week or so hopefully.

At that amount of boost, 12:1 is perfectly safe. If you want to play supersafe get it tuned to 11.8:1 in boost. How is your part throttle tuned? What are your AFRs outside of boost on WOT?

hey, when i go part throttle not boosting it goes from like 14's to low 13's, when im wot before boost hits the air fuel ratio dips real rich, lower than 10 to 1 air fuel ratio, when im in boost and wot it gets low sometimes like under 11 into the 10's and when i beat on it for a while and things get hott, it'll climb up to low to high 11's sometimes, when it gets real hott, constant on and off boost, itll even get up into 12.2 and ****. idk, i usually let off if i see it go a little above 12 though, one time when i first got the turbokit on during a warmer day and me beatin on it, it climbed up to 13's so i let off immediatly.

for pvc system im runnin a little filter on valve cover and im just running a tube from the little black pvc box thing in the back of the block and the tube runs right down to the ground. i know the outlet for the pvc system on the block aint big and doesnt allow for much pressure flow outta the bottom end of the block but i figure it should help out a bit for the amount of boost im running, i figure getting a catchcan and pulling the plugs on the back of the block are more for high hp or high boost applications.

youre dumping too much fuel to the point that it doesnt burns and goes down through your cilinder walls ending in the oil pan..When the gas mixes with the oil your oil will become very thin...Thats not good, you can ruin your motor.

Try to tune it with a wideband..and change your Oil asap.
