Default Now Boosted. Feels great! Few worries though.

got the whole setup yesterday. I was just wondering about a few things.

Right now, I'm running the S-AFC hack on my LS.
DSM injectors / Walbro 255lph Intank on 93 Octane
Settings are:
1-4k: -40%
5k: -37%
7k: -35%

It runs really great. Except for a few things.
@ idle I hear my spark plugs extensively. It's a hard clicking sound.
I was wondering if this could be detonation? I haven't decreased my timing @ all. So it's stock.

Another woe is my white smoke. It first came on @ idle alot from the very first time I started the car. I thought it may have just been something burning off because it eventually went away. Now it doesn't come @ idle but it does come back after boosting pretty hard. The same white smoke was coming from the engine around the bleeder valve. So I know for certain this is coolant burning. It's coming out my exhaust though.. Does this mean blown headgasket or cracked sleeve? Could it possibly be something else? I will tighten up my bleeder valve and get the air bubbles out. The cars' temperature runs at like 4/10th's on the gauge. Using a civic cx radiator with a stock fan that's not even working. (soon to upgrade)
If anybody could ease my woes, help me fix my problems, or explain exactly what they think is going on - please help out.

Your boosted buddy,
-Justin

The clicking you think your hearing at idle from spark plugs is more than likely your injectors, stock timing at idle is alright, you shouldn't hear any detonation because there is no boost or load on engine.
Compression test?

When you start your car(make sure after its cool) do you see bubbles, like a steady stream? My guess is a blown headgasket...

Oops. I meant injectors, not spark plugs. Alright I'm cool with that.

The smoke was rather steady. It was coming out of my coolant nipple. The white smoke out of the exhaust could be a headgasket? When I first turned the car on with the turbo - the white smoke appeared. It idled @ like 2500 kinda funky until I set the settings on my S-AFC better. Would the headgasket have blown then on the first instance? Are there any other situations with white smoke out of the exhaust?

if this was the first time you had ever noticed white smoke then there was no way you blew the headgasket starting the car. i would do a compression test then look for visual signs of leaking around the head. if there is oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil then the headgasket is blown too.

first off, check under your oil cap. If you see milky stuff under there....thats a headgasket, warped head, cracked sleeve, dropped sleeve, or possibly bad valve guides.

do a leakdown test, not a compression test. There are many things it could be and its pretty obvious you have a problem. Leakdown will point to it, compression wont.

do the oil cap test and some othe suggestions above and get back to us.

I had white/blue smoke coming out of my exhaust but it was the oil return line backing up causing it to smoke out of the exhaust. Take your return line off and if oil comes out of it, that is more than likely your problem.
