NOT boosting properly....acted wierd from start up
Hey guys. I know enough about something simple enough to find a leak in my pipes becuase it has happened before when one pops a clamp or similar. 2 Days ago it ran like a champ and no problem.... So today I turned on my car, oil is good and at level ( I mention that becuase I was going to go buy more oil for it ) and on the way after the engine was warmed up I jus normally gave it some boost but noticed the turbo sounds differentley, as well as the blow off valve (Greddy Type S). It sounded quiet and weak as if it was letting out almost no built up pressure. So I gave it some good throttle up to 5k one time...when usually it full boosts up to .6Bar or ~8.7psi it only went up to .12 ~ 2-3psi....the wastegate makes no sound as to releasing any pressure early. All I know is I shook my pipes at the joints I couldn't get to and they seem snug and good. I built up my set up myself so I know every spot on the car regarding this set up so ya...I've looked where I could and have no results...I have to drive about 1hr + to a shop tomorrow to get it checked out, I assume avoiding any boost while driving is my best option to not load the car with extra fuel...for now and my necessities im shifting at about 3k max softly. Any input guys ? this is just a small convo i shot to a friend incase some of you were to lazy to read , feel free to IM me, Thank you
FillySkyline: sup dude
FillySkyline: my car is acting funk
FillySkyline: today i drive it...and its only pushing 2-3psi
FillySkyline: the turbo sounds diff....
FillySkyline: and the bov doesnt let out a good PSH with pressure just barely
FillySkyline: so its a leak but...my pipes r fine
FillySkyline: bov works..
FillySkyline: could it be a piston fucked up

last time something like that happened to me, my tial wastegate was stuck open, or the gasket blew and the bolts went loose holding the wastegate. if you checked all of your pipes, maybe check your vac lines too?

Re: (JDM00SI)
aight problem solved. It was a plug on the compressor side of the turbo that had popped out and I could not see the whole due to it being to close to the radiator fan. That was it... I KNEW it was a leak, thank goodness nothing else.
