nooBie... GO EASY... J30a4+GT35r?
whats up, I have a few questions for the experts... first here is my setup...
Accord V6 J30a4, GT35R .63e .70c, 8-9psi, rc 550cc, tial 44mm, Greddy emanage ultimate Iridium plugs gapped to .32
343.7whp@6k, 321wtq@3600 on 93, stock compression 10.1
Just recently got the turbo done. The person who tuned the car had 10° timing pulled @4k and above. Is this too much? I feel like the car should make more power... Any suggestions on setting up a good tune for this car please let me know, I am all ears. Im not sure how extensive or effiecient the tune was that I had done.
Lastly most of the time @ wot in 3rd gear when I shift to 4th, my car shuts off and I have to turn the key to off and back to the off position to regain control? wtf is this?lol...
Thanks for any replies in advance

i see you are using the emange ultimate with that device and pulling 10 degrees is quite bit, but if you took it too a good tuner and he considred that safe then i would go with it.
It all depends on who is tuning the car and how the car is reacting to the tune. Every car is different in nature and there is no one can just tell you to make this change and be done with it.

Your car cutting off sounds like the map sensor, but you said you are only running 8-9 psi so I dunno. Does your car have a stock speed cut?

No. He would be using the Greddy PRessure Sensor (Denso 3 bar map) in CONJUNCTION with the stock Map sensor. that would not hinder his power for that.. The pressure sensor and stock map sensor work together in E-manage and Power FC systems.

Re: nooBie... GO EASY... J30a4+GT35r? (TheShodan)
First off, Thanks to everyone that replied, I really appreciate that.
secondly, I still have my stock map sensor, but will be upgrading to the Greddy one soon. I didn't even think that I would need it because my car had a stock one. I have seen that stock ones can handle only so much and then the car goes into limp mode, but with only 8-9psi seemed low for that to be the problem.
My car does have a speed cut @ 138+(cuts fuel).
Is that really a big spark plug gap, .32 and is there any other componets on a newly turboed car anyone would recommend checking adding or upgrading?
While I don't expect anyone to be able to say "this is what you need to do to your car" I hoped someone would know a book or website to help guide me on the standard rules of tuning to get me started. I have searched and tried to read the things with good reputable sources.( lotta junk and bs on the internet.) I have read the FAQ, I am going to play with the tune on a laptop and see how it responds to different timing. Thanks again for any good input on the setup.
