Default Noob LS-V Turbo Build

Whats up H-t!
I am currently working on an Ls-v turbo set up for my 99 Civic Ek hatch and was hoping to achieve 500-550whp. I am pretty new to building engines and thought I'd ask for some advise. Here is what I have so far. I know I am still missing quite a few parts but was unsure of which parts would be best for achieving my hp goals.

94' B18b1 Ls block
LS Crank micro-polished and balanced to LS flywheel, new rods, and new pistons.
Balanced LS Crank pulley
94' B18c GSR head
81.5mm 8.6:1-8.9:1 Wiseco Pistons
Manley H-Beam Rods
255 LPH Walbro Fuel Pump
ACL rod and main bearings
ARP LS studs (don't think these will work)
GSR waterpump
GSR oil pump
GSR Timing belt ???
Just Ordered Golden Eagle LS-V kit ( not sure how to install o_O)

Here is what I still need to get:

Valve train
Injectors/size
ECU
Turbo setup

I am open to any suggestions. I may be missing a few things also, but will keep everybody updated.

Thank you for your time.

Before i even get into discussion about the valvetrain, turbo, injectors, etc...I want to point out a few things.

First of all, if you're running stock sleeves, your power goal is maybe a little too ambitious. Most people dont push stock sleeves past 450whp, but there are the occasional people who make 500+. If reliability is important to you, i would either change your power goal or plan to sleeve the block.

My second concern was your compression. If you already have those pistons (or assembled engine), then dont bother changing it, but if you have yet to buy them, i would look at something a little higher. Not many people run less than 9:1 compression anymore...this isn't a DSM

Reliability is not really a concern to me as I have another LS block waiting for me. The compression issue should be a problem, Because the block is decked and head getting milled, should compensate for the extra boost in compression.

Thanks for your feedback.

Well if you're looking for that kind of power, the easiest route would be the standard turbo setup (ramhorn, 3" dp and exhaust, 2.5" ic piping, etc), either a Borg Warner S258 or an S362, a set of 880cc injectors (if you're running pump/race gas), etc

As for the valvetrain, i would go with Ferrera and a set of ITR cams or even Pro1's. The cam and turbo choice are to some degree a matter of opinion. The BW units can make the power you want...the S258 will have a better powerband, but wont make much past 580whp if it's pushed into the 30psi+ range. The S362 is analogous to a GT35r...

Thanks, I will look more into that setup. Are Bisimoto's level 2.4 cams any good?

With the right valvetrain (Schister knows what he's talking about) and tuning, those cams will make good power

Sorry haven't been on for a long time. Here is where I am at with this build.

Decided that since I had the engine and most of the interior out I would give her a little make-over.
