Default NON honda but turbo related

Im a honda guy but my friends 2002 STI needs some help, we must get it fixed in a week cuz where driving it 23 hours!!!

JDM 2.0 STi, FPgreen, RC750s, walbro 255, Utec+++

our problem is...... The car had a massvie boost leak cuase of the injectors, they did not seal well. So we replaced the RC 750's with the STi pinks(565cc). The car used to make full boost by 3500rpm. Nopw it makes no more forward "boost". Now we floor it and it hits 5 grand and starts to cut out bad.the boost gauge reads 15PSI at he intake mani. But the car does not move any faster then when its not boosting. The A/F's stay around mid 11's under full throttle, anybody have any ideas? we did a boost leak test replaced the spark plugs awith 1 step colder plug and it still does the same thing. We did a compression tes and all 4 were fine.... I told him the problem is the BIG emblem on the grill!!!jk

We also to took it to a tuner shop in detroit and they charged him $550 and didnt fix ****.... so please give us some FREE HELP

Plaese HELP and dont be gay and tell me to search, we asked for help on Nosiac, but they are just a bunch of **** who think they are smarter then eveybody and wont help.

Did you redo the fuel map to compensate for the smaller injectors?

thats what i was thinking too.....

if i had to guess it is the injectors or the sizing, not hard to figure out you changed the injectors now it runs like ****. put the 750's back in with good seals, surely that woulda been cheaper than 550$

and yes i saw where you wrote it stays around 11:1 afr, but that dosent matter much if it runs like ****.

Yea we they tried putting in the 750s when we were getting it tuned but they dont come close enough to make a good tight seal. the tuned it for the 565's but it still runs like ****. its really smooth idle but breaks up bad at 4700RPM+. Its just weird how it shows 15PSI on the gauge at the intake mani-Blow off valve goes off at shift like usualy-but it does not boost at all, like the boost is getting to the intake mani, but the motor is not doing anything with it.

oh so it was retuned? damn dunno then. if its breakin up then it will feel like its not boosting. sucks thats too hard to diagnose over a computer screen. check simple stuff like plugs, plug gap and plug wires. most misfires/breakup are ignition related. is it setting any codes? misfire codes? or does it just say random multiple misfire detected? i would seriously look into the ignition system.

at the same time though those 5xx whatever injectors arent big enough to make big power on so if there is any way to run the 750's and get them to seal that would be nice

OR sell the 750's to me i need them

yea we put new plugs in, check the coil packs and all that stuff, and still nothing. But you would theink that even if the 565's werent enough fuel flow it would still make some kind of boost, im the gauge shows it making it to the mani, but the motor does not want to use and at the same time the A/F R's aare perfect!!! we just dont get it

it is making boost if its showing on the gauge but its not being turned into power because there is a drivability issue/misfire. try plug wires, i am a technician they cut usually cause a miss at the highest engine load. like 5th gear 40mph and high throttle type of load and can do it at high rpm high load

Who tuned the car? Whats the timing look like where it starts to hesitate? Did this happen all of a sudden or is this a result of someone working on the car?

all of a sudden, so we did a boost leak test, saw that it was leaking at the injectors cuz the RC's dont fit subbys, so we replaced them with STi pinks and that didnt solve the problem , like we hoped it would have, we didnt see wut the timming looked like on the computer, but the guy we took it to in detroit has done lots of work on subbys and has one of his own with almost the same mods
