No. I didn't search.
So my buddy is "indexing" his plugs for his racecar. (if you have to ask, its a built 383 70' Chevelle)
How important is this for us boosted guys? Seems to make sence to me.... ??? Will we see any advantages?

Sure it may help, But I always wondered about the loss of Compression because the plugs are spaced out more then normal....
I wonder if the good out weighs the bad!

I really don't know, as my car is far from being able to take advantage (if there is one) of this type of thing.
Im sure that some of the ALL OUT HONDA RACECAR's are doing something like this?? (please, correct me if I'm wrong!!)
BTW, he runs 12:1 CR, on a 50/50 mix of 110 octain gas. (the other 50 is that nice 92 octain Oregon gets

rb question, but how in the hell do you aim the electrodes of the plugs at the intake mani? i could not do that for anything unless there is some secret trick idk....

I have watched my dad do this on his built up 327 Chevy. I don't know if it would matter as much in our boosted cars (by our boosted cars, I really mean your boosted cars, as I don't yet have a turbo).

The reason they index the plugs on a big block chevy (396 not 383 unless its a mopar) is to keep the ground strap away from the piston dome.There is no advantage to doing it on a Honda.

First off, the multiple strap plugs are nothing short of garbage. Plain and simple.
As for indexing your plugs, probably don't need to on something like a 383 but if you have the free time no big deal. Indexing usually only shows gains with a lot of boost or a lot of nitrous (or both). Ive seen guys pick up 15HP indexing plugs but this was on a 800HP na engine with 400 more worth of spray.
If you are worried about losing compression, you better not run colder heat range spark plugs, they also will drop your compression about the same ammount. That ammount being .000001

yeah really, sure indexing plugs is nice, and im sure it helps a little, but, like everyone has said, the gains will be so minimal that its not worth the time to do it.
