Nissan Sr20det Installed Intercooler and Oil temp has dropped?
Tried Freshalloy etc without a reply yet so just checking if any of you guys might know.
Just got my new intercooler installed have cut a fair bit out of the bumper so will be getting more airflow, but also now have a large intercooler blocking the air flow.
My car used to sit around 70 degrees celcius having reached operating temp,(but did go a little higher) now it will go a little past 60 degrees but promptly drop back to around 60 degrees.
Could cooler air going into the engine reduce oil temp???
Also installed megan downpipe at the same time perhaps thats may have hhad an effect..
Anyone had similar experience?
Or is my gauge playing up whats the optimal oil operating temperature. Blacktop Sr20det.
Cheers

Are you running a GReddy intercooler?
Done a couple of SR setups with FMIC, but never really notice a drop in temp. Shouldnt have an effect on it.
