i honestly dont think that is that hard to obtain. I know my car pulls like hell up to 150 and the only thing that stops me is the fact that im on a public road.

imagine how fast it would be with a turbo. i read about this car in a mag a wile back when it made it to 180 or so, and they were talking about how he had to shift at certain rpm's to keep the boost up.

Im actually serious about this. I know i have enough power (well before i blew my motor again) it would be jsut the gearing and *****. i have no interior, no sway bars, no fender linings, no dash, jsut a shell with some lexan windows in the rear and sunroof and a 10 point cromoly cage. i really jsut dont think its too hard to do. Yeah it would take planning and preperation but its not like building a 9 second streetcar kind of planning.

Now this has me interested. Our shop should beat this goal. I kow i can get over 200 in the current trim the car is in. I think i can sueeze output of my motor to a little ofer 700 if i crank the boost up a little higher and run a little more nitrous. Ah screw it ive blew 3 motors this year and only have driven 2K. Im dont fixing them for this year, ran out of spare blocks.

Also a turbo wouldn't last very long boosting at that much boost for that long of a time.

ok. this may be way off, but I heard somewhere that the mph a car reaches on the salt flats would actually be alot higher if it were on a normal test track at sea level. but thats just what i heard somewhere.

Theres a lot more then just having the ***** and gearing. I am almost positive that many calculations and windtunnel tests have been done to ensure that the car stays on the ground, and minimizes wind resistance.

with this whole thing i am just glad to see this is a ******* civic, with a civic motor. i hate to see steven's "Civic" that has an h22 that is mounted parallel to the car and it is a full tube chassie with a plastic cover painted to look like a civic.

the turbos that do run at the salt flats usually dont survive very long.

u think theres a fomula to figure out how much hp it takes to increase mph? there would be alot of variables like areodynamics but i bet its possible to mathematically figure out how much power it would take an integra to go 200mph.
“We calculated that we needed 490 whp to run 200. We have exceeded our horsepower goals, and feel that the car has even more potential left.”
