yeah, a blue 350z with a vortech blower.
the previous issue had a white evo viii with a carbon fiber hood and trunk.
i'd scan both... but don't have a scanner that works. sorry.

The new one has the yellow S2k on the cover, yes. That's my car. Can someone scan it for me please? It's not out in the local supermarkets yet.
Thanks

Re: New Turbo Magazine? (Mase)
hah hah, well, that's a pretty shitty thing to say.
I had a motor built incorrectly and it didn't last more than 5 mins of idling. I am not sure if I am the guy you are thinking about, but I am sure I could be. It's funny how rumors can turn so negative. It's kind of like, you are tuning a car and the motor blows up because someone else messed it up, now you're the tuner that blows motors up all the time. (I don't believe this to be true, but do you get my point?)
Anyways, once I had it rebuilt it has been fine, and I am using the same motor for about 2 years now. I am developing different motor builds now to try and stay a step ahead of everyone, but I need to pick up the pace since S2000's are getting so cheap

opps i didnt mean for it to be negative, it looks like you have everything straightend out...I just remember reading a post somewhere about some s2k in florida that kept blowing up motors due to bad tuning i think, must not have been your car. this guy was just dumping money into it and had blown up like 3 or 4 built motors...
better pick up that pace , i got a f20 sitting on my porch that im looking to build ...... i will hit 600 whp drive train probably wont hold that much, but we'll see....
none the less, congrats on ur car in turbo mag!

Sorry the quality isn't as good as it could be - the pics started out around 1mb each so I had to make some sacrifices . Congrats on the article and the project Chris!

Re: New Turbo Magazine? (Mase)
Thank you for posting the article!!!! I just got everyone in teh office together to show them my achievement and issued and official "kapow bitch!" to my friends and coworkers.
Mase, the guy you are talking about is named Alex, and he has a black S in the Tampa area, which is probably why you've heard of him. He is selling a sleeved block on S2ki under the name "hobbyholic" if you're looking to save some cash.
Again, thanks for posting the scans!!!

Re: New Turbo Magazine?
No prob on posting the pics Wish I could go for a ride in your car though (kinda tough me being on the opposite corner of the country and all lol). Great work on the project again though, I have been watching your progress for some time

Your car is sick. I thought you were just making **** up when I read your thread earlier today. But obviously I was wrong.
How is the traction on that thing? Probably spinning them on the dyno, huh?
