New to turbedit, what to look for
K so after frying my pg6 dickign aroudn with the homdamade AFC hack ive decided to put in my stock injectors and run the fmu so i can at least drive downtown to buy the burner and some 27c256 chips.
Now i am thinking, what could i be missing, and what are some problems i might run into.
I have:
DSM 450CC injectors
90-91 crx si ecu
Willems dual power standard universal burner
28 PIN socket
4 27c256 chips (150ns)
soldering iron
Now from what ive heard a desoldering station is a good idea, can this be bought at radioshack? I have some experience in soldering so I will take it nice and slow.
After i solder in the socket, and burn my basemap, what are things that can go wrong? Can I drive the car around with the basemap, or will the whole neighbourhood now (smoke) will it idle? will i get more than 10mpgs? If it runs to rich can i lean out the fuel correction %?
Right now my main focus is to get the car runnign RELIABLEY but not overly rich. I dont have a wideband O2 sensor, so life sucks for me. I wont be doing anythign with timing yet (will use boost retard though).
Also, this engine is a d16a1 (basically a zc)
I used the Offcial "How-to" - Setting up TurboEdit Basemaps from homemadeturbo.
I used a pm6 stockmap, will this be fine for the zc?
