The New RMS Manifold!!!!.....56k Get Some Lunch
First, a huge thank to you Ryan a.k.a. Teglove2
1.) Why not just get a Full-Race manifold?
By no means was I trying to cheap out on a manifold setup. This car is my daily driver currently, but is going to be retired as a weekend fun car in January (buying a new daily driver after graduation).
Most people on here have the mentality that it’s either Full-Race or no-race. This is not aimed at putting either builder down because both are great quality. Side Note: I’ve bought from F-R before, and will continue to buy from them haha. When I first thought of getting a real manifold made people would tell me “You have to go with Full-Race.” There is one problem with doing that though…I need my manifold custom fit. I have a custom made PWR full-sized radiator and that gets precedence over any exhaust setup. So that eliminates most builders because almost everyone I know requires a ½ sized radiator.
Point: Teglove2. He takes on the projects that most others either don’t want to do.
2.) Anyone else’s quality won’t be as good.
That is far from the truth. The pictures speak for themselves in terms of quality. For being 100% hand-made, I think the weld quality is outstanding. I saw with my own eyes (and helped) during the fab. process what goes into creating this manifold. For being just himself, he gets the job done. I was expecting decent work, but the manifold turned out to be far above what I had expected. I can honestly say that in terms of quality and price that this manifold is among the best our Honda community can get.
3.) Well it’s not a proven power-making manifold.
Fair point…for now. Tuning on my car is Saturday September 8th at 9:00am so until then I can’t possible argue this point. I will make another post on the 8th and provide the proof for all to see.
4.) I bet it will crack.
I bet that’s not true either. Currently he is at ~60 manifolds on Honda’s and several other makes of cars, etc. and not one has cracked. Plus most of those are running 40R's and 42R's (comparitively a little heavier than my pee-shooter 60-1). Nevertheless, I think cracking is highly unlikely after viewing the welding and knowing all the behind the scenes stuff that went into my manifold.
Other good stuff:
- This is on my daily driver right now, so it worked out well being able to work with Teglove2 to get it on the road with minimal down-time.
- Aside of the product itself, it was all the little things that makes Teglove2 a real standup guy in my book.
For Example:
- Not only did he let me stay at his house while we worked, he worked 13 hours straight to make sure I was able to get back on the road and drive home the next day.
- He provided me with plenty of entertainment. We had a few Corona’s on both occasions, and he even had some lady friends come over to his hot-tub W00T!…
- Not only that but the first time I was there the one girl punched the other girl IN THE FACE! hahahaha Then the second time I was there, they were both naked swimming around in the swimming pool. Now that’s providing a customer with some damn good entertainment!
- When he put the manifold on the first time, my -12AN fittings on the valve cover didn’t clear. I was thinking “oohhh ****, now I’m screwed and will sling oil all over the place going home.” Teglove2 came to the rescue…again. He gave me his valve cover on his mock up motor, so all I had to do was clean it and slap it on the car. Major thumbs up to him for that move.
- Even though I brought my own stainless line for the new return, he gave me some of his black braided line (the cloth like stuff).
Conclusion:
I can’t really stress enough how pleased I am with the final output of the product and all that happened in between me getting there and leaving. The things he did and way he conducts himself gave me some hope for Hater-Tech.com afterall. I originally met him through here and it just goes to show you that there are still decent people out there willing to help a fellow car nut. Again, Teglove2, thank you so much for everything you did…I’ll be contacting my friend about that H22 for you
Mock up
Holy arm muscle.
Awww two silver integras. Aren't they a cute couple?
Some of you guys may recognize this duct work haha.
The valve cover is going to be re-painted this weekend.
After the 4 hour drive back home.
Yea, he really did work that hard....check his pulse.

Thx guys. It was def a weekend full of surprises again Brian lol. Yes Tony you are correct. I ususally dont use filler on the pie cut portion of my dp's simply because you dont need to. Its not undercut and it gets full penetration. The material i use is nice and thick and fuses beautifully. The v band welds and flex pipe welds are both with filler obviously. This is how ive done all my dps over the last few years and customers love it and we've had 0 problems. Thx again guys!

The final pictures look like he went back over with another pass... but I could be wrong.

Gee I wonder who you could be talking about Brian??
Hey Ryan, you feel like coming on a trip to FL for a while... on me? haha. Some conditions apply.. as in fabbing me an equally badass mani, haha.

You got me hahahaha. I'm sure you wouldn't have to worry about the conditions. Each one I see is getting better so yours would be equal at a minimum.

Yeah, this cat wasn't kidding at all when he was talking about his Manifolds. Good luck on hitting some good numbers on Saturday. Maybe you can match my tq numbers I'm coming up to visit in the near future, I'll hit you up f'sho bro.
Oh yeah, btw. If I hire Ryan to make me a manifold for my new project car that I picked up after graduation, he will have to make me TWO 4-port manifolds instead of just one

I heard about that purchase. All I have to say is, when does it stop! haha You just got done with the Prelude and now you're jumping right into something else. Good luck with it, hopefully it won't cause as much headache. Definitely get ahold of me next time you're in town.
