new quarter mile times...d16z6 turbo
heres my setup
92 civic vx w/tokico illumina coilover kit
stock d16z6 block
dh-racing p&p head
basic apexi turbo kit
spearco intercooler w/custom piping
boost set at 6psi but creeps to 9psi after 6.5k rpm.
zex 59100 camshaft
rc 440 inj
hondata s200 w/boost
greddy sp 70mm catback
20x6x14 mt slicks on steelies
finally found the time post my new slips. i didnt have the money to retune the car on higher boost so i figured what the hell. ill just add 2 gallons of 110 octane racegas and see if i can break 12's. well you see the results. i'm car 1771.
i like this last one the best.
17.872@104.98mph LOL!!! damn first gear popped out.

Very nice times! You need to get a wastegate that doesn't creep though and crank the boost up to like 14 pounds when your at the track.

Re: (Shaun)
What were you revving the car to? What rpm's did you launch at? Any power figures? Weight of car and driver?
Last of all Great times.

Check to see if you didnt pop an axle out really qiuck though. Im thinking that before i snapped the spline in the diff. the axle may have already come out a bit because i used to pop out of first much more than i would have liked. Wouldnt want you to go breaking stuff out there now, that isnt much fun... </TD></TR></TABLE>
well it only happened once and it ran fine the rest of the day.

i launched around 5-6k rpm. the slicks were small and spun a bit. i guess thats the reason why the axles didnt snap. i rev my car to 7.5k rpm. i dyno'd my car before and got 210 to the wheels on 93 octane pump gas. as for the weight of my car, i never weighed it yet. i took out the seats and the door panles. i weigh about 175-180.

well its tuned on pump gas but i was too broke to retune the hondata on the dyno for higher boost. and yes rockfalls is pretty shitty but its the only one thats close.

thanks, shooting for 11's next year with a built block and different turbo setup.

Re: (turbozxi)
made 210whp at 9psi but thats with a p&p head. beerbongskickass makes about the same with a stock head but he has a bigger turbo.

But he is using the Apexi kit, which has a internal wastegate and while I have heard of converting to a external wastegate I don't have enough information in this case to determine how. I am now searching out 472 results of information as I type.
EDIT: I have 13 pages to sift through but the middle of this one seemed rather informative for anyone switching to external.

Re: new quarter mile times...d16z6 turbo (INVALID)
i will switch to an external wastegate on my next setup. the apexi turbo is too small for my hp goals. looking for 350whp.

Someone here made 320whp @20 psi on the same turbo.....
I bet 350 is attainable with that turbo, and the spoolup rocks.
