NEW personal BEST.. and it was WORTH it..!!
just got back from the track today.. and ran some pretty good numbers compared to my last time out, which totally sucked... my best overall run was a 13.2@110mph on falkens and cutting a 2.07 60 ft.. i did manage to hit a couple 13.1's, but with slightly lower traps.. with my trap, i'm pretty sure i would have been able to get into the 12's if i had slicks for sure..
the biggest suprise of the day came right after i regapped my plugs from about .025 to around .019 (bcpr7es-11's)... before the change, it seemed like i was misfiring at the top of 4th gear and was trapping around 101-107 mph and running mid-high 13's.. after the adjustment, i began trapping above 108 with 111 mph being my best of the day and running low 13 ET's... never knew my spark plug gap would play such a big factor.. on the bad side, my idle was horrible and not smooth at all after the adjustment..
I also beat a tt stealth and VR4 who were also there.. the funny thing was one of them had a sticker on his back lights that read, "Out Hunting Hondas, Be back in 12 seconds", so I had to run them to put them in their place.. I didnt' see any 12" runs from them, nor did they beat me.. Guess I took them by surpise by having them think that i was just another typical honda ricer.. oh well, it was all good after that since they showed their respect and didn't act like sore losers, unlike this camaro that i spanked twice..
oh , forgot to mention my setup.. stock gsr/trans w/ RPS clutch, garrett t3t4 60/.63 intercooled, hondata s200b, CPR injectors, 3" exhaust, 2 1/2 to 3" DP, NGK wires and plugs, PS steering, AC, Power windows, boosting around 10 psi (tuned to 7 psi and pulling 197hp/185tq), and of course FULL INTERIOR.. Don't like driving around in a tin can w/ all the rattling and road noise..
This was a great improvement from my last time out 2 weeks ago considering my best MPH was only a measly 100 mph and 13.8 ET.. I was averaging high 90's and mid 14's the rest of the dya though.. the track was very very slippery that day..

Sweet car, but beating relitivly stock 3/S cars in a honda that has a motor swap and a turbo isn't a huge deal. What is a cool thing though is that the stealth owner disrespected the honda then got beat by it.
I Own both a turbo honda and twin turbo stealth, they both have strengths and weakness, and if anyone is out to disrespect someone elses car I think they should get hammered by the car they dissed.
BTW there is no doubt that on slicks you would have broke well into the 12's.
The stealth would have owned you on the street. AWD cars are just as fast on the oily slick streets as they are on the sticky track, where a honda is slower on the street vs what it would run at the track.
Like I said, "strengths and weakness".
Honda = cheap ( HMT D-series ), fun, low maintance, light weight, and common.
3/S = sexy, leather, power everything, instant boost, awd, handling machine, stock 300+Hp, and stock 160mph ( plus they run high 13's stock ).
honda Head gasket in 2 hours
3/S Stupid rear turbo !!! Stupid 4 cams !!! Stupid taking off the intake manifold to change spark plugs !!!

Re: NEW personal BEST.. and it was WORTH it..!! (T3T495GSR)
well, the track conditions were great if you had street tires... not that slippery... i got 15 runs in which was more than enough...
my best launches came around 3.5-4k rpm.. but by launching so low, i had to build boost in 1st gear which kinda slowed me down a bit... i do have some home made traction bars so that helped me out alot as well, though i did experience a little wheel hop. i can attrtibute that tho those falkens w/ their stiff side walls..
as for running 10 psi, it was pulling pretty hard and feeling strong so i kept it there all day.. the misfiring did keep me from hitting the high traps until i regapped the plugs and began running better traps..
**forgot to mention my other mods:
tokico springs on koni neuspeed yellows (fogot to adjust them for stiffness that day)
homemade traction bars
maxrev manifold
