New Manifold Design - Good Tubular Flow? Hood Clearance?
Im thinking of grabbing this D16 turbo manifold, seems perfect for me. Never heard of the company but it looks good and its braced.
What im worried about is clearance, it looks like its hugely tall, do you guys think this will clear my hood without a problem?
Anyone have one with it installed?
Thanks guys

Ive read about the ssac manifolds, this looks nothing like it and the wastegate flange is on the other side

I dont think so, everything about it is different.
I dont care if it is though, I'll brace it from the block but I need flow and clearance help

Let's put it this way... if it's selling for under $500, I'd just about guarantee you its crap.
I'd be willing to bet that one is going for way less, even half that.

Its design is almost identical to the SSautos... listen to people.. its probably a different batch from the same overseas supplier.
Avoid it like the plague.
And if you really can't see the similarities... get your eyes checked.

yeah, but you have to add the cost of the wastegate that will eventually drop off going down the road. Ask one of the good fabricators on this board what their materials alone cost them per manifold. You will be surprised.

Yah I dont know where these cheap companies are getting that material from but I know it costs me $26 a u bend for 16 gauge 304l 1 3/4 tubing (it takes 6 u bends to build this manifold) so the numbers just dont add up, that is 156 in material and they sell it for $140!

Not to mention flanges, and your argon, and rods. etc
I'm willing to bet you its not 16 gauge, and I guarantee you its made overseas.
