New Integra GS-R/Civic Si Bolt-on Turbo Kit <--- Critics needed.
Hello,
We are thinking about compiling bolt-on turbo kits for B-series integras and civics. We have already talked to some manufacturers and we have agreed and obtain very attractive prices. The idea is to offer the market an alternative to on bolt on kits, which in my opinion, are well overpriced. Here is the setup:
Turbine: Precision SC61 or SC44 Turbo
Manifold: LoveFAB Welded Shorty AC
Downpipe: Custom 2.5" Downpipe
Intercooler: Spearco 26.5x8x3
Intercooler Piping: 2.25 Stainless Steel with silicone hose and hose clamps.
Intake: Complete intake assembly.
BOV: Turbo XS Type S
Injectors: RC 440cc
Wastegate: Tial Wastegate 38mm 7psi Spring
Fuel Pump: Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
Management: Hondata s200 Boost
Extras: Autometer boost and lunar air/fuel, Goodridge Oil Return/Feed/Drain lines, Pro Triple Pillar 2 1/16".
All kits will be AC compatible and will be priced substantially lower than the kits currently on the market.
Criticism welcome.
Alberto.

some people may not want to run hondata because of install/tuning costs or they may have something else in mind. But that's a great price for what you get in the package. maybe a fmu/missing link option for those who arent wanting to do the hondata? just a suggestion.

Good deal, I guess. Especially if we get to opt out for some things (like hondata and the pump at a discount) I like that it comes with ic piping.
Is there a date as to when this will be for sale?
Do you have any references?

Re: (psi420)
my opinion...
Sounds like a nice setup, with quality parts(Precision, Love Fab, Tial) However...
I would maybe offer a more popular BOV then the TXS, maybe somthing like a Greddy Type S. You could make up for the cost by ditching the Lunar gauges(they are blinding! and almost double the $$$), and the AM air/fuel gauge. Id probably sell the kit with an FMU, and have the injectors and hondata as an option for more boost. The SC61 owners might want an injector bigger then 440cc aswell, so i wouldnt set any of those things in stone. Why stainless steel IC piping? downpipe, sure... but why spend money on SS IC pipes when you could use mild steel pipes and paint or coat them.
All in all sounds like a really nice kit, great for street use and those that want to make good power, keep AC, and stay affordable.

I understand and took some of your suggestions, however, we are keeping the IC in stainless steel since we will not sacrifice quality for price. Let me know ANY other thought.

How are you seeing Stainless steel as a higher quality than mild steel for IC pipes? Now im no Metalurgy pro, but im pretty sure stainless steel retains heat more then mild steel. This would be perfect for exhaust components, but IC pipes is just the opposite. The only advantage to using SS is its resistance to corrosion, which can be solved easily using mild steel piping and coating it.

Price is WAY too much
Log Mani=$175
Precision Turbo=$650(i dont even know, i dont need a precision)
DP=$50-100
Intercooler=$250(that spearco is too tall. most honda folks will have to kill their bumper support)
Charge pipes w/ couplers=$100
Intake=$50
BOV=$150(a shitty way to spend $150 IMHO)
RC 440's=$200-250
Tial=$200
Fuel pump=$80-100
Mangement=$100(can we even call this management? precision turbo w/ an FMU...com'on)
Oil Lines=$80 Stealthmode style
I get a total cost of ~$2180. why should anyone buy this for $2800??
Do some research because this kit is lame

Re: (b18b1hmtlove)
Where are you going to find a lovefab mani for $175, maybe used and old, and if all the parts are nice and new, then the prices he has in an excellent deal. Oh and fuel managment is a big deal, so why not get it done right atleast?
You can say the kit is lame, but compared to a vast majority, if not all other packaged kits on the market (Greddy, Fmax) This is an awesome deal as long as their is good shipping time and costumer service. I say do it, and I bet you can sell plenty of these kits.
I do agree with ditching the lunar gauges, and the stage 2 is nice, but is the tial race wastegate necessary. If so, thats cool, still a great deal

Please read the description of the parts, including manufacturer and the total price . And if you are going to provide prices, please provide them as new parts prices and same product/model price. No flame is needed, and your opinion will surely not do any harm. Talk wisely.

Oh and any chance of turbo subsitution, like if I wanted an SC50 instead of one of the others, could you do that? And I assume this is an absolute complete kit, all lines nuts bolts, everything. I like the sound of this kit.

Yes, everything is included. Also, most of the precision turbos are the same price, so basically you can order the model you want.
