NEW Greddy EVOTT (turbo tuned)
i was searching on Greddys site because i have their kit and came across this exhaust - its 70mm diameter piping and full stainless steel piping and titanium tip.
http://www.greddy.com/
now i am running a Mugen Twin Loop which is real constrictive since its only like 2.36in dia.
my question is does anyone have this yet? and what does 70mm convert to? isnt it only 2.75in? cause i know that 3" is ideal for a turbo set up.
thanks

BUT would 3" be better?
the thing is they recommend it with their turbo kits (which i have)

Yes a 3" would be "better", but you probably arent making massive power on a greddy kit so 2.75 would be fine.

dep. on what you consider massive amounts of power but prob around 250whp - Its a lot to me considering i came from a RS with i/h/e lol

the exhaust is hot......im putting my xs-engineering kit on my gsr in a few weeks and i am going ot be running my hks hi power.....55mm...2.36 inches...honestly....3 inch is the typical way to go...but ive read 3 inch is sufficient for up to 800 horses....now honestly.....i understand theres never too much exhaust piping diamter on a turbo setup..but seems a little excessive to me...im looking to go with the 2.65 hks hi power muffler with custom piping when i turn up to the boost

If you think about what the exhaust is doing for the turbo it is making a less resistant path for the exhaust to flow through. 3inch pipe will allow you to spool your tubo faster as well as make a few more ponies because you can expel the exhaust gases faster. Downfalls of three inch piping is the possibility of boost creep/spike this can be potentially dangerous for your motor. The other thing is 3inch is kinda loud sometimes.. Basically its all a preferance. is your exhaust quietness worth say 5 or 10 potential horse
