Default New to the forced induction world need some help with this turbo

Hey HT for all my honda life (7 years) I have always been an n/a guy but after driving my friends boosted b16 I decided it was time to make some real power. Now I built my motor to make power reliably. It is an ls/vtec balanced and blueprinted bottom end 9:5:1 compression, wiseco pistons, eagle rods, all arp hardware, supertech springs and retainers, stock sleves, cc stage 5 4 puck clutch. I also went through the trans with all synchrotech carbon coated synchros and a type r lsd.

Initially I wanted to make 400-450whp. But this car being kind of my daily (I have a bike I ride) I wanted it to be somewhat practical. Anyway I started out with a holset HX35. That turbo was a twin scroll monster. but I though spool time would be a big issue and because its low comp it would be a dog out of boost. So I sold that. Most everything is coming together now but money is tight. My friend had this turbo sitting around and im wondering if it will be sufficient with my setup. Its tiny but I cant find info on it. I think its the run of the mill 57 trim. What kind of power can I expect with this turbo and what are its limits? I'm afraid I've wasted money on the motor build because I think it will be pushing it to break 300whp. and a stock motor can do that reliably. Any way I've included pictures to help me ID this thing.

All those measurements you're making could fit over 7 different combinations of turbo. We need to see a picture of the inlet of the turbo (where the compressor wheel is directly facing the camera).

Whether it be a 50 , 57, or 60 "trim", they all run the same wheel diameter (differences in inducer wheel). Therefore, power on those (with that exhaust wheel) range from about 420whp-440whp AT MAXIMUM

This means that maximum efficiency for all three of these will be from about 19-24psi of pressure, which isn't the best way to run 450whp (especially if using pump gas 91-93 octane fuel). On 91-93 octane fuel, you're going to be around the 300-340whp mark.

You won't be pushing to break 300whp, no problem.

So I have to take the compressor housing off to see the size of the inducer wheel? Isn't it the exducer that will make it a larger trim? Im still trying to figure this whole thing out.

*sigh*.. here TRIM is the difference between inducer and exducer.

so how do I find out the size of the inducer and exducer?
