Default New Dyno results------>st00pid tooned!

I made a trip to Houston to visit St00pid.
My previous Dyno on a Completly stock LS I made 264&231@11psi.

This trip i made 302&254@16psi....completly stock.

Set up:
sc34
inline pro manifold
Rc 550's
Hondata s200b
2.5-3in Greddy Power extreme Exhuast

I think that's all the important things. I have my dyno sheet but i don't have a scanner now, When i get one I will post the sheet.

BTW. Don't tap your rev limiter when you have a lot of power and fuel cut.= blown motor. I popped the spark plug wire off the distributor, after i hit fuel cut several times and popped it. The timing and the whole tune was pretty conservative, that's how we were able to pull the boost up.

you cut fuel.....when you cut fuel you lean out. therefore blowing your rings.....
RIngs give out becuase you beat the crap out of them or your lean. I went teribbly lean becuase i set on the rev limiter.....

doesn't the factory limiter cut fuel also? I dont think it actually cuts the amount of fuel cause that would be stupid. It cuts ALL fuel like every other engine cycle or something. Without any fuel you can't be lean...there wont be any combustion.

Yes but by cutting the fuel, you are not just lowering the amount of fuel. The fuel cut ELIMINATES fuel, stops it completely. The injectors stop opening. Without fuel you cannot run lean, you're not running at all. See what I'm saying?

Nice numbers. Any dyno graphs? I just want to see what the powerband looks like.

When you hit the fuel cut, the engine still runs.

no fuel = no damage. The engine is, in essence, off.

Depends how you define 'runs'. It's still turning, sure, but it's not getting any fuel, it's not producing and power, so in essence it really isn't running untill the fuel comes back into play.

The problem is, it doesn't cut the fuel by stopping the injectors from pulsing. It cuts the fuel by shutting off the fuel pump.....so if there isn't enoug fuel in the line for you to meet your target A/F, you will be lean.

To say a fuel cut rev limit is safe is bad info in my opinion. You can't be gaurenteed that there is absolutly no fuel in the cylanders. A lean condition is definately a danger. The only safe rev limit is fuel/spark cut.

The only good cut is ignition...i don't like fuel cut. you lean out horribly. WHne your pushing 300hp into a motor and no fuel is there...it leans out.

Nice number Hybrid. That extra 40 horse you probably fell in love with. I would be curious to see what your timing maps look like. If you can post, that would be sweet.

On another note, I have hit my revlimiter on my Hondata hundres of times with 13 psi on a stock D16Z motor. The motor is fine. I have never heard of a case where the fuel-cut revlimiter cause a ring failure. Speak up and prove me wrong somebody if this has happend.
