new build almost done have a few ?
Well here's the story. I purchased a 93 hatch a couple years ago that had a b18c already swapped in with the plans to turbo it. It came with a ebay turbo kit with 57 trim and log manifold. So I purchased tial bov, PTE 83mm wastegate and ID1000. Ended up making 269@9 psi on 91 tuned on S300. It was a very fun car to drive despite the terrible lag from the eBay turbo. After about 2k miles it developed a bad 3rd gear grind, so I sent it to Synchro Tech to get the carbon master rebuild. I was shocked at fast there service was. I checked tracking and said it had been dropped off. About 2 hours later I received a phone call from them, we talked about what needed to be done. Received the transmission back 3-4 days later.
While the transmission was out I ordered a precision 5858 journal bearing t3 .63ar. I replace the head gasket and put in ARP heastuds.
Took it to the dyno on E85 and made 360/245 @16 psi. On the street it made about 14psi. Pretty much exactly the numbers I was going for. Very fun and quick car on the street.
Decided to take it to the track with some friends. On the way down the car started sounding louder and louder also became much more laggy. Like I was back on ebay turbo. Found out once at the track that I had lost 2 bolts from manifold to turbo. I decided to make 1 pass to see how the car did since I drove all the way down and paid to run. Went 13.17 unknown mph.
So next big event at the track I decided to enter my car. On the first practice pass I had right lane couldn't see the lights do to glare so I left when I heard the camaro next to me leave. The car felt very slow out of the hole 2.36 60 foot. Ended up running 13.14@117 but when I crossed the traps and got on the gas slightly after slowing down to get ahead of the car next to me it just went to rev limiter. Clutch was gone. This was back in June.
I decided that I wanted more so I saved the rest of summer and winter. This year I bought a Benson sleeved short block from a member on here.
New setup.
Benson sleeved b18c1 83mm
CP 9.0:1 pistons
Pauter rods
B18c stock poet head
supertech valvetrain
Stock gsr cams
msd digital 6 plus box
msd cap and distributor
Victor X manifold
ACT 6 puck with Max xtreme pressure plate
ACT streetlite flywheel
PTE 5858
Log manifold.
I'm looking for 500-550whp on C16. Or 135 mph trap speed. Our track is at over 5000ft elevation and has DA in 7-8k range so we lose enough power to notice from most of the cars I've seen at the local teach that have gone other places. I'm not sure if I can reach my goals with the current log manifold. I want to get a ramhorn and see if I can get close enough to whereI want to be on current turbo. Which would mean I have tto buy a T3 manifold and don't want to buy another manifold if I end up going with a 6262 or 6266. I was thinking if I went with a new turbo I would get a T4. Would it be worth going T4 down the road over T3 if I decided to go for the 600-700 range. If I go T4 I will probably end up staying with current manifold until I can save enough for both turbo and manifold.

Re: new build almost done have a few ?
Thanks for replying Shodan. I know I need more seat time. Not planning on on going for 600-700 till next just don't want to spend an extra $1000 if I'm not going to need to. Are my power goals reachable on this turbo.
it's the E compressor housing with .63ar.

Well hopefully this 5858 can get me to my trap speed I'm looking for. I haven't really started looking at bigger turbos yet. I was planning on contacting you before I made any decisions on a new turbo.
