haha i just noticed the A/F looks like the GReddy Blue box, hhmmm maybe it is
EDIT: These #'s are STD, not SAE, so I guess theres a correction factor

Ummm, I'm no genius in any way, but why is it that the hp/torque curves don't intersect at 5250rpm like they do on everything else I've seen? And why is the graph all over the place? That thing looks like it's got *** for fuel management cuz the last time I saw a graph like that it came from a car that was detonating and missfireing. Hummm, maybe that fuel curve has something to do with it.... Talk about overkill huh? Maybe it's that high cuz they knew the ricers would add a 50shot of dry juice to it.

As far as the TQ, who the heck knows, but Dodge kept the A/F like this to keep it safe, BOTTOM line. MOPAR is coming out with a little upgrade package which includes a chip and some otherthings while u can still keep the cars factory warranty, IMO not bad for $19,995 which is what this person paid, if you go to the link above and chop off whats after the last slash you'll see pics and whatnot.

Yeah, those are some nice numbers. I wonder what they will be producing with basic upgrades. I can see it now. Turbo neons revving everywhere.

Okay lets get one thing straight, you think ANY car company would put out a car that's detonating from the factory, nahhhh. Secondly, there are curve smoothness settings that you can do via the dynojet software, maybe it wasn't do, who knows.

It still doesn't explain why the graph doesn't intersect at 5250. It's a mathematical formula that torque and hp curves intersect at that rpm. I guess I'm trying to say that I don't buy the graph.
Here's a cold for your nuts. Sorry I kicked you so hard...
Peace.

dude u gotta get a life, I give props to Dodge I'm not one of those stunaz that thinks everything that isn't a Honda sucks, not saying you are, but you know where im going with this.
Anyways .. maybe this wasnt a 4th gear pull, maybe this was WOT in gears 1-4, so they guy could get down his shift points - who knows, buy I'm with you on the TQ its shady. I'm sure Art, Chris, Joe, or John would have more input to this cause no way am I that familiar with dyno settings etc.
I'm just sharing this info with everyone, no need to get ur patines in a bunch
[EDIT] Post the mathematical Formula, I'd like to take alook at it. Maybe the one you have is dependent on other factors, I have no idea, but I'm willing to learn.

Re: New 03' Dodge Neon SRT Dyno (FredoSP)
I give Mopar respect for going back to the turbo setups of the late 80's. 20k seems a bit high though for that much you could get a Y Body, F Body or differnt platform but I guess that wouldn't be a sport compact then.
Good looking dyno charts (HP/TQ Wise) it looks like there is a ton more HP to be gained though on the AF. Do you have a aftermarket fuel management?? It almost looks like you have a ignition issue becuase of the peaks and valleys going up the curve.

Hey, no doubt I give props to Dodge too for finally making something worth a **** other then a 70k car with a truck motor in it that halls ***. Anyway, for what it is and for what the price is I agree with everyone that this is one hell of a car. No doubt about that when you take a look at all the factors involved. However, would I get on my knees and bow to it... prolly not. I guess I'm just not a big fan of the Neon. I just don't like the way it looks. Does this make me not have a life?... stop saying that!!! My Civic is the shiznit dawg!
Anyway, more power to the ones that want to get the new SRT4. It's a hell of a deal for that amount of money. Personally I'll pick the new STi over it. 2.5L Turbo 4 with 300hp and 300tq. But then again you get what you pay for...
BTW, I'll try to find that formula, but it's the standard hp or tq solving formula used.

tq x RPM/5252 = hp
or something like that
