Needed parts for a sohc turbo build.. 250whp is the ultimate GOAL...
My car: 1995 Honda CX hatchback
Motor: jdmd15b vtec
Mods: Sohc greddy kit, greddy small FMIC, turbo timer, type S bov, air/fuel, oil pressure, boost guages, thermal R&D catback.
Mission:
run 12 psi plus (possible on new turbo (20g was recomended) but for now on 15g
250whp
Plans:
Send block (with all bottem end components) to NRG (good guys) for bore/hone/hottank/assembly
Bore .20 over
Use eagle rods and je pistons (recomended for good budget, yet not cheap build)
Arp studs
OEM headgasket
OEM bearings and whatever rings
INline4 bottom end gasket kit
turbo XS (or other brand) mbc
Hondata s200 w/ boost
Dsm 450s with resitor box
Tuning
Parts needed-
1. Main/Rod/thrust bearings
2. Je/SRP 75.20 pistons (Or maybe CP) (New prefered but Used for the right prices and in Good condition)
3. Eagle rods(New prefered but Used for the right prices and in Good condition)
4. Headgasket OEM NEW
5. Pistons Rings for .20 over
6. 255 Inline Fuel pump- Walbro/Holley prefered
7. Hondata s200 with boost option w 2 step. Or hondata 2b.
8. TURBO XS BOOST CONTROLLER DUAL STAGE...
Link to parts I would willingly trade for these parts:

Dude, this is the Forced Induction Tech support forum. about 10 lines down the main page there is a "FI classifieds" section. i suggest you post what parts you want there.
BTW your parts list wont equate to 250whp in your SOHC. Honing/boring a D15 is a dumb idea
Throw some 9.5:1 compression pistons in there, NOT SRP!!. get some eagle rods. get some arp studs, the oem gasket. 450's are way too small, get some 550's. throw the hondata in the trash. download uberdata.
and 250whp on a that engine with that turbo is more like 15psi. maybe even larger.
So all in all you dont know what you are talking about.....

A: He tried in FI classifieds and since hes trying to get this done he wanted more exposure, ie here. If u dont like it, become a mod and move it
b: If your dont think he can hit 250 whp with those parts then you dont know how to or people who can tune.
c: Hondata is trash.....thanks for the wisdom.
d: 450s should be just fine
e: Boring .20 is fine.
f: All in all, dont ******* post without first asking. KTHXBYE

Re: (95turbohatch)
If you go with the SRP use the Turbo pistons (8.5:1 compression) you'll be fine. Be sure to get the deck height spec'd right and and clay the motor to get the proper quench. I'd bore the minimum you can to get the cylinders straight. I'd add a cam to the mix and touch up the casting flaws in the OEM cylinder head. The 15g turbo will do it, but a big 16g would do a better job if the turbine housing bolts up correctly. 450cc injectors will be fine, at 43 psi base they will provide 280whp on pump and over 300whp on race gas on a 4 injector motor. At minimum you'll need a DSM sidemount, even a low flowing front mount would provide better performance however.

Boring .020 over will HARDLY affect the strength of the cylinder walls. It's barely enough to get clean cylinder wall in there.

8.5 C/R is WAY too low on a Honda. That's just a slug with a turbo, Honda's are efficient motors, you're defeating the purpose of a turbo Honda dropping the C/R that low. At minimum go with 9 C/R, I am trying 10.1 C/R with my turbo build.

Na, i'd have to disagree. I honed a d15 recently with 190K on the clock. I removed less than a thousanths to the diameter and it was pleanty to clean the cylinder walls to provide the new rings to bite.

I was exaggerating a little with the cleaning the cylinder walls, all you really need is a hone for that.

Re: (RyanCivic2000)
How about changing your goal to 230whp then just use a completely stock D16 any old kit.. greddy etc And the hondata setup you intend to run. The build up you are undertaking is good for 300whp and above. HTHs

Re: (turdbozxi)
Because i want to use my d15 i bought it runs nice and im going to use it and i will make 300whp ..
i will then need to get a new turbo and what not..
but y do u say it will make 300whp and not 250whp??
I am going to use the pistons and rods
Turbopanda is sellin there toyota pistons and b16a rods.. and can hold up to 2 bars of boost.. check out the thread
