I have 3 more options, Speedfactory, Richtuned, or PRE. PRE is down the street but I can't find any info on them.

I took down the screenshots because I agree with you lightningteg. I was really pissed off when I got the car back and I just felt like all I was getting was excuses after excuses and the whole pump gas thing. Now if I take it back and does "blow up" on pump because "we told you so" I'll be totally fucked. Know what I'm saying? Ill take your advice and call and see if I can talk to the owner but I really don't see a point in talking to the tuner as he made the "tune".

I agree with your logic, gutted-dx. I think it's simply best to state to the owner your displeasure, but after you've gone somewhere else to confirm our findings of the tune and then after a retune (with a hopeful change in result) that you voice your opinion to the owner. That's the best way to handle it, IMHO.

So I think I'm having a surge issue. If I spool the turbo and engage the clutch slowly I get a duck call sound ( don't really know how else to explain it haha) and the normal bov sound afterwards. Definitely never made that sound before. Is that surging? I read some where a long time ago about it so I know it's bad. Should a swap out the spring or could it be something else? Also does anyone know if tail wastegate springs work in the bov?

If you're just slightly going into positive pressure (like going just above vacuum) , then no. You're not having any issues. the BOV is just a little sensitive.. If, however, you're getting into good boost pressure, then its very possible. It easily just needs an adjustment. I take it you're using a TiAL BOV? what's your vacuum source for the valve?

I actually worded that wrong. It's when I let off the gas not the clutch. It does happen under moderate boost. How do I go about adjusting it?

And you're certain that you have the correct BOV spring used based upon engine vacuum, and not desired boost pressure level?

http://www.tialsport.com/documents/w3_tial_qqr_sp.pdf

Definitely check how to change the springs and such.

Gonna do an E85 tune so I need to swap out my walbro 255 for a 450. I want to make sure I buy the right pump can anyone provide the correct part number?

Picked up a ITR manifold for $120 and while I was waiting for the guy to show up I ordered a walbro 450 for e85. I also installed a full set of CTRs last week. Too bad a couldn't install 1 by 1 for Dyno comparison but o well. I just couldnt leave it alone haha.

Finished the walbro 450 pump yesterday and drove it to work today to make sure it was running properly. It worked fine. I ran the car out of gas literally in front of the shop that's tuning it and then topped off the tank with E85. Fingers crossed as this is the final tune I will do this year I just want to run it at the track already! I'm over wanting a certain number I just want a good, reliable tune! They are tuning it tomorrow morning so I'll have updates tomorrow afternoon if all goes well.

After going to that West coast shoot out I can't wait to hit the track again. Been looking around for some slicks too.

Im gonna keep this positive! The cars runs 100 times better! The part throttle feels amazing! PRE is a great tuning shop in Portland that I will for sure be returning too. The injectors are at 95% duty cycle but I'm very happy with the car! The Silver Surfer is everything it was supposed to be. The feeling I have right now is exactly why I built the car! Thanks everyone for your help and support.

I've been so damn busy and traveling lately that I've barely driven the car. Last time I had it out I couldn't see any smoke at all, so that's probably a good sign. I'm hoping to pick up some slicks this summer and hit the track when I can. I'm leaning towards those vms wheels in 13x9 with m&h 24.5x8.5 slicks. Check those wheels out if you haven't yet, you can find them for $300 shipped for 2 witch is a pretty good deal imo.

I actually have seem those on Facebook but I haven't been able to find how much they weigh. I guess it doesn't really matter as much since the car is turbo now.

Yeah I saw that the vms 13x9 wheels are 13lbs each. I'm 99% sure that is the wheel I'm going with.

I wanna see some videos of this thing ripping!
