need some opinions on 350whp project
alrite guys, i've done some research. lotta reading. i'm trying to make 350whp on pump gas with my gsr motor. i was wondering if i would need anything else to achieve my goal. this is my list of what i got so far:
spoolin' log manifold
3-2.5 downpipe
precision sc61 turbo
tial 38mm wg
jrc 8 intercooler
micropolished Ls crank
golden eagle HD sleeves
JE 9:1 pistons w/ eagle rods
acl bearings
2.5 exhaust cutout
stock head, stock valvetrain, stock IM
2.5 ic piping
Apex'i AVC-R
hondata s2b
rc 750cc injectors
(maybe some skunk2 cam gears)
i'm hoping all of these parts will be enough to reach my goal. thx.

Looks pretty good - might want to think about a better intercooler in the future and go with the 3" dp and exhaust

I'm not to favorable about log manifolds. Full-race has hard data that shows a well build equal length mani will add 50hp by itself. Expensive, but well worth it when you compare $$ to hp gained.

even with the log manifold you should well be able to meet your goal of 350 whp with a sleeved block. Just boost the f*ck out of it until it makes that amount of power. I Forget wheather you said you had arp head studs but if you don't I would get them along with a nice 3 layer metal head gasket. Also remember to get it dyno tuned by someone who knows what they're doing. Good luck

solid sounding setup.
i dont htink you will need the cam gears.
go with the headstuds, your motor is capable of much more power than you want out of it.
ive got a similar build on an lsvtec, and am planning for 425 or so.
dont sweat the intercooler, i just ordered one for myself. i have no question that it will work for what i want out of it

yeah really, I'm sure that intercooler will be fine for making 350 hp. I have a jrc 6" intercooler for my setup and I'm hoping to make 350 hp. So I think yours will be more than efficient enough to make 350 whp.

I was thinking the same thing, until I saw the video the other day. Did they address the issue of there being NO dumptube when they put the log manifold on? or did they just decide not to put one on. As that will make a big difference in power lvls also. Im sure the ramhorn will make more, but not as much as they claim if the test they did was with no dumptube on the log manifold
