Default NEED SOME HELP, TURBO IN BUT RUNS BAD!!!

I have a problem and any suggestions would be great. I have a jdm b16a in my 5g hatch with a greddy turbo kit, dsm450 injectors and greddy emanage. I have it all installed and running but when i step on the gas the car will jerk and hesitate a bit starting around the 3000 rpm range but then once it gets to 5000 it will not rev any higher. I disconnected the charge pipe so it ran all motor from the t-body and it reved just fine. I do have a missing link but on my motor the map is not on the throttle body but on the firewall like 4g civics and crx's. I still use a map sensor though that goes on the tb just connected with some vaccum line. i dont get any engine codes or errors from my emanage. Spark plugs are fairly black but dont smell like gas so likely running a bit rich but not too much. Please help me so my car can go fast!!! Thanks!

might be your distributor cap, or your rotor button... check both of them, i replaced mine and it made a big difference.... or maybe your not getting fuel after 5... make sure you check your injectors, and that they r wired correctly..

i do have a missing link. i guess im not sure it is working properly though. But if it wasnt and the map was reading boost it should throw a map code...i dunno.

sorry to thread jack. But would not having a missing link on a b18b cause the car to not allow for higher than a certain boost? Say 6 psi?

With the Emanage you do not need a missing link (Emanage prevents the ecu from seeing boost, and if you have a missing link in, your map sensor will always see 0 vacuum at WOT. The problem with that is that you will always be in the vacuum part of the emanage map; therefore when you start boosting the car wont be able to get to the boost maps and you will have lean stuttering). That most likely is your problem. Try running the car with just the Emanage and not the Missing link.

I actually did run it first without a missing link and just the emanage. The problem was occuring so I thought that I had to set in the emanage the boost cut feature and I wasnt real sure on how to use it so I figured I would just get a missing link. But it does it with with or without the missing link.......

Sounds like then you have the emanage setup wrong.

I dont think I have the emanage set up wrong. It is all soldered in and i get no error codes on it. Im gonna check it all out again just to make sure but I havent messed with any maps or anything at all so it should just be running stock. Its just weird too because it reved fine without the charge pipe attached to the t-body, but i dont get any codes from the ecu or the emanage when it does it.

You're blowing your candles out, kid. Tighten your plug gaps and I guarantee you'll see it rev higher.

my guarantee was that a TIGHTER PLUG GAP willlessen the problem. You just changed the plugs, didn't mention anything about the gap.

P.S. My guarantee = if it dosen't work, you get a hearty handshake. Only while supplies last...

i got the zex forced induction plugs pregapped to .30. Im trying some different injectors tonight to see if that is the problem so hopefully it works.

Try tightening the gap hombre. Down it to .28 and see what happens

My guess is up with the rest of the people...you don't need a missing link if you have the E manage...The emanage keeps the stock ECU from seeing boost, but right now, you're keeping the emanage from seeing boost. Pull the Missing link out and give it a try, I'd be willing to bet that is the problem.

an update for all watching this still...thanks for the advice but nothing worked. I did however go into the emanage and ad addtional injector duty cycle in the higher rpms at all map voltages and viola, boosting and running good. thanks anyways though!
