Need some answers on Exedy clutches...for turbo Si.
I am looking for input from anyone that is familiar with the Exedy Organic Racing clutch. I have a 2000 Si, and will be adding some boost over the summer...probably a turbo. I'm starting to buy parts now, and I figure a clutch is a good start. Depends on the kit, but I figure I'll have about 250+ WHP.
Does anyone know how much power the Exedy Organic can handle? I was told 350HP from a company that sells them...but I would like some comments from people who actually use it. Also, any other comments about how you like it would be great.
Also, I know for a SC lighter flywheels are recommended, but should I get one for a turbo as well. I know its been talked alot about...but there are always mixed answers.
Car will be daily driven w/ some track time. Thanks guys.

Anyone else have comments on this clutch? Looking for something that will hold 300-350 hp max in the future. This clutch for $250 shipped is just such a good deal compared to everything else, it's hard to turn it down.

i've done some searching...and i'm looking at the clutchnet now. the only thing is that my car is daily driven, and it sounds like there is a lot of chatter with it. is it too harsh for a daily driver?

I have the exedy cerametallic on my (previously juiced, building turbo now) h22a prelude, it only lasted me 6 months, daily driven, saw the track maybe 8 times, and street racing on the weekends. I am very disappointed, I plan on trying the clutchnet stage 3 from import parts next. Hope that works better. I say no on the cerametallic but that is just from my experience. Good luck.

you can always get the clutchnet plate and use a stock disc. then you will
get the clamping force you want with stock engagement.
The stage 3 is nice, dual diaphragm and pedal pressure about as stiff as
act extreme.

I currently have any Exedy clutch on my Turbo GSR and it has already slipped on me. (Had it less than 6 months.) People that know there poo poo don't like it, and tell me that I should get a Clutchmasters Stage 3 next. I hope this helps.

Was it a 3puck? I already have it installed....but I haven't started the motor or put Turbo yet. I've heard the 3puck was good....so that's why I got that. Fawk....

J, don't forget about the ACT. I'm telling you I love mine. Doesn't slip no funny noises and has great pedal feel (for the Heavy Duty P.P. and Street/Stip Disc). You would probably need the Extreme P.P. though. I'm not sure. Brian has that in his car.........it's a workout! Grabs like a ***** though.

Yeah, Carl. I've actually decided that I'll probably go with a combo from ACT. I have an email out to them which I am waiting to hear back. I wanted to hear from them about the power numbers that the different plates can hold.
Can you IM me a price when you get a chance to check it. The ACT heavy duty P.P w/ S.S. Disc. And also the price with the extreme. Thanks.
Does Brian like his? Did he get used to it after a while?
