need some advice on turbo for h22a
hi , i'm just going to get a turbo, which do you think will be better , i want to run ab 400whp
Garrett T3/TO4E 50 trim w/ .48 or Garrett T3/TO4E 57 trim w/ .48 a/r
bigger trim spins slower right?? so what is the different between slower and faster spinning turbo and which has smaller lag

Re: need some advice on turbo for h22a
the bigger the turbo the longer it takes to spool up
i dont mean to thread jack but, i was going to make a post because i have a question for my h22 build too.
I'm going for new pistons and rods, head work, doing some harness repair and was wondering what c/r should I be looking to set. (I'm going to get Mahle Gold pistons)
I saw that the 9.0 c/r pistons said they need sleeving, but the 10.0 c/r don't need to be sleeved. Honestly I'm going with the Mahle on the basis that you can run them without sleeving the block, so does 9.0 need sleeving, and is it better in the long run? I'm not to sure about what turbo ill be getting but I was told by a friend to shoot for a GT30 or GT35 if I'm ambitious
like qpe I'm looking for around 350-400 whp, sorry this doesn't really help you since you just want to slap a turbo on with stock internals, and i thik 400 might be pushing what the stock block should run, although I've heard it can do it.
Input appreciated

Re: need some advice on turbo for h22a
does it mean bigger lag??
I'm just rebuilding my engine is not going to be stock ,its sleeved already-dartons 200series (no flange) ,eagle h-beams , and cp 9:0,1 pistons , just wanting for set of acl bearings and hopefully my cylinder head will be done by tomorrow
dangmedcalf i'm not sure if u want to run 10 cr for your 400whp turbo set up , it might be to high cr , but i may be mistaken

so if they say that the output of that turbo is 100-280hp you can get more anyway ??

they seem to be good ones , they on the market since 1954 !!
