Default Need some advice for a high horsepower D-series

Ok here is my situation ... I am wanting to build a high horsepower engine over the winter and this is what I have so far and 500whp is my goal.

First off I am already converted to OBD1 and running off Uberdata.

Engine:

Benson built D16z6 bottom end
-9:1 cp pistons
-Eagle H-beam rods (3/8's ARP 2000 rod bolts)
-Benson sleeves
-ACL bearings, oem oil and water pump

Built D16y8 head
-1 mm OS valves
-Zex valvetrain
-Zex 59300/59500 cam
-Ported and polished and flowbenched
-ARP head studs

Turbo kit:

-currently have precision SC50 .60/.63
-equal length shorty manifold
-full 3 " exhaust from dp back with no restrictions(mandrel)
-Golden Eagle IM with spoon 70mm TB
-huge 26"x12"x4" yonaka bar and plate intercooler
-2.5" charge pipe from turbo to intercooler(mandrel)
-3" charge pipe from IC to intake manifold(mandrel)
-38mm turbosmart wastegate
-1000CC injectors
-255 lph walbro fuel pump
-2 stage colder NGK plugs
-STR competition fuel rail
-B&M adj. fuel press. regulator
-Vortech BOV
-3 bar map
-FJO Water Meth

Tranny:

-Custom gearing SI tranny
-Quaife LSD
-Exedy Stage 2 clutch
-Cutom coated gears and syncros
-Raxels stage 3

I am probably missing something but as it sits how much power do you think I would be able to make on this setup? Also considering that even when my turbo is probably 72% efficient at 15 or 18 psi or starts to heat up, I will be running the FJO water meth system which really cools things off.

Also I have the option to pick up a Blowzilla T3/GT40 .70A/R which flows 65 lbs/min (832cfm). Has a .63 a/r housing with a stage 3 wheel and 61mm inducer.

Thanks in advance
.... Chris

use a Z6 head and not a Y8
500 may be pushing it on that turbo too.

oh yeah i know this turbo wont push 500whp, I would have to run insane amounts of boost, but thats where the watermeth would help me out but keeping the charge cool. Or if I get the blowzilla turbo, then I know 500 whp is possible because turboCX did it. I just need to know where my weak spots are in my setup.

go with a Sc34 it'sa .57 time over the .50 trim it will lag maby 200 rpm more but it hits alot harder then the sc50 top end

u can do 400 easy on race gas with the SC50
if your looking for 500whp a SC34 will be pushing it, maxing it out
why not looking into the Sc61 people are making 400whp at 20 psi
500whp NO PROBLEM!

also 2 stage colder NGK plugs
not going to hack it
MSD SCI
with Blaster 2
or something along those lines
MSD wires as well

You might wanna checkout the single slam boosted forums, I think one guy put out 431whp? But that's like the record high right now and I don't even think you'll reach 500hp with that setup let alone have it run smooth. If you wanna spend all the time and money on a single slam, you should rather spend it on a b-series or something.

youll need a very big turbo/laggy boost to achieve that whp , and revving high wont be the most reliable , kinda a catch 22....you want higher horsepower , youll need a turbo you wont get much rpm boost out of .....

RPS clutch, the stage 2 will not hold up.
Call, I believe it's Ed at Progress suspension ask for the coilovers that Ryan Smith has. rota92's hatch runs much straighter after we installed the Progress coilovers. Be ready for a stiff ride. You can have them valved softer, if you like. But 500WHP is not for the street. It's to much.

You'll want a bigger turbo too, at least a Garrett GT35R or better.

You may want to check out http://www.turbod16.com there are a few of us there with high HP D's.

dyno queen and highway monster, for streetability, lol I have my nissan skyline. I am considering the blowzilla, full boost is only around 5700 ish, thats not too bad I suppose, even if I can make 400 whp from the sc50 I will be running a 100whp direct port shot anyways with a bottle warmer. So I can make up for the lost power that way I suppose. I will probably be running the MSD digital 6

Thanks everyone for the coments so far.

i am kinda getting old for the street racing deal anyways, atleast with a big turbo I have found that they are very good on gas because daily driving I am never in boost. I ran that intercooler all year and really liked it. Humm so the exedy stage 2 (3 puck) is not good enough for the power I want?

I guess I should look around for a clutch masters stage 5? but anything I get I want it to be sprung.
