Need some advice, getting tuned tomorrow EDIT: UPDATE
Well i am going to tdc tuning in NH tomorrow to get my built z6 tuned. I am running 10.5:1 compression with eagle rods and srp pistons. I am using a t3/to4e and hoping to see 350-400whp.
I have seen a lot of people that run 100+ octane on the dyno while being tuned for safetly. My main concern is; considering my compression ratio and the fact that i want to be able to run 93 octane all the time, lets say i dont detonate on the dyno because of the 100+ octane, when i get back home and fill up with 93 isnt the chance of detonating then a lot higher? What are your opinions on this?
Thanks in advance and ill let you guys know tomorrow how i make out.

Re: Need some advice, getting tuned tomorrow (1TurboHatch)
Use the same octane fuel during the tune as you are going to use on the street. So if your running 93 octane everyday tune using 93 octane. If your doing two different maps then tune the street map first using the lower octane then add the high octane and tune the other map...don't fill up with 110, tune for that then change to 93 without making changes to your tune....400whp with stock sleeves....you want to be extra safe.

Re: (BseriesHybrid)
Yea i realize the compression ratio is kind of high. I have a built a6 block with a z6 head and didnt realize when i did the swap that it was going to be this high of compression. I priced out swapping everything to a z6 block and it just wasnt worth it.
I have seen many people on here making 400+ on stock sleeves. As far as the hybrid not making 400, im pretty confident that it will make 400whp without taking a **** load of boost but it might be near the limits of the turbo. The guy that is going to tune it said hes pretty confident that he can get 350-400 out of it so i guess we will wait and see. Id be happy with 350 or so. I am running 12psi right now and need more. My final goal is 11s with my BFGs. I want to do it on DOT tires.

I agree with the guy that said use the fuel you plan to use on the street.
Honestly, who cares about peak numbers, I want a robust, safe tune that I can enjoy daily. I had my car tuned exactly as I run it on the street, including full exhaust. I love the way it turned out.

Re: (Boondock Saint)
Well the guy from tdc tuning sends me a ******* message on aol instant at 1am saying that he has to postpone the tuning appointment because the dyno stilll isnt setup right. Sounds fishy to me because he told me he has 2 dynos and that he usually does dyno days on saturday but would make an exception for me. Didnt bother to call me he has both my home number and my cell phone. I made this appointment 2 weeks in advance and i talked with him on aim thursday night and he said we were still on for saturday.
SOOOOOOOOOOO. i need a tuner in the new england area that can tune my built a6/z6 with 10.5:1 compression with a 3bar map sensor. Who wants to do it?
BTW his name is jon, im starting to think this is jon from the drop shop.
